Why is a proper cool toned lipstick so hard to find these days?

Anything with a hint of warmth is useless on me and makes me look very 'odd' 🙄 Even MAC doesn't have anything suitable, they're all too warm or too nude.

I got a Bourjois one this morning which I think will be ok, properly pink.

Primark used to be fantastic for lip crayons which were fantastic pinky nudes but no more 🙄

Am I missing somewhere obvious I should be looking? Even Rimmel Asia is no good for me but Soft Hearted is.

I love this lipstick. They used to make this shade in a different formula years ago but got rid of it when warmer colours became more popular, I’m so glad it’s back. I think it would be a good choice for anyone who is cool toned who is looking for a my lips but better shade. This formula is not too opaque and slightly balmy on the lips. For reference, I wear this most day and I’m a very pale, neutral toned ginger.

That's too warm but the Anna lipstick looks a possibility. I've never looked at Nars before.

I don’t fit in to it! I have pink undertones in my skin that tans really easily and doesn’t burn.

But her only option was red undertones that burns easily🤷🏼‍♀️And then it took me to warm colours.

This also happened to me! I find it hard to get hold of makeup for medium skin tones with pink undertones. It's either too light or too warm.

Maybelline stay ink are good for cool toned- pioneer, romantic and pathfinder are all good.

Pathfinder is more of a neutral, the other two are brighter but lovely on cool toned skin.

Pale Mauve by Bobbi Brown might work (the photos online look nothing like my actual lipstick though!) which is a very blue/ purple light pink.

I also like Boy (for a proper nude/natural effect, but actually pink) and Fetiche (more pink but still light) by Chanel - in the Rouge Coco Flash/Bloom range. I think Fetiche might be discontinued but they do have a good range of other pinks. I really like the formulations too.

This must be why only blue lipsticks suit me. 😭

Asia is ok and Soft Hearted is better.

I have a cool skin tone and loved Charlotte Tilbury pinky nude Rising Star but it’s discontinued. CT suggested Karina’s Star as a close shade, but it’s nowhere near, it’s orange! I’m about to try Clinique Think Bronze which looked close on their try it on function.

Pathfinder is far too bright but Revolutionary looks hopeful!!

I’m dark haired with pale cool skin so I find I need a bright colour to look alive lol.

What foundation do you use? I find that only Bobbi brown and Bourjois do foundations with a yellow toned base which suits me and the lipsticks generally suit me too. I can't wear anything with a brown base and those with a pink/coral tone are best.
Bb cabana is a good colour for me. The other problem is staying power though! Bourjois velvet lipsticks last pretty well.

No7 cool vanilla or Doublewear Fresco/ cool vanilla

I am cool vanilla in no 7 but it is a touch too cool for my skin (it needs a lot of blusher or bronzer to bring it back to life) I find all no 7 foundation slightly too pink. Have you tried spiced latte no 7 lipstick?

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor I found Revolutionary too intense. It wasn’t nude enough.

And this is the problem! All cool based colours tend to be too bright. I want a pale cool. But not too pale. Does it exist? Does it buggery.

Ive ordered the Bourjois one, toying with Blue Raspberry and the Rimmel one.

All the others are too bright or too orange😟
