Why is a proper cool toned lipstick so hard to find these days?

Anything with a hint of warmth is useless on me and makes me look very 'odd' 🙄 Even MAC doesn't have anything suitable, they're all too warm or too nude.

I got a Bourjois one this morning which I think will be ok, properly pink.

Primark used to be fantastic for lip crayons which were fantastic pinky nudes but no more 🙄

Am I missing somewhere obvious I should be looking? Even Rimmel Asia is no good for me but Soft Hearted is.

No, @BusterGonad . No shimmer. I'd say it's a satin finish. I'm not a fan of shimmer so I'm really pleased with it. It's v flattering.

Actually @BusterGonad I think maybe it does have a very subtle shimmer. I couldn't even notice it earlier but I looked more closely in a different light and there's a very faint hint of shimmer. I don't usually like shimmer but I like this.

That's what I mean, it gives your lips a really luscious look without being frosty!

I recently discovered the fabulous Revolution powder matte lipsticks only for them to be discontinued three weeks later.

Instead they have replaced them with a Godawful thing called Pout Balm. a coloured lip balm. I bought one and it kept making a clicking noise and wouldnt come out of the bullet and when it did it fell apart as soon as it touched my lip.

Just bought Maybelline 24hr super stay in Rose Dust, very cool and just lovely ,a very good find!

Another Maybelline 24 hr win is Always Orchid, paler than Rose Dust,ever so slightly pearly. Fab 😊

Just water to update and say I ordered the Avon in Viola Grey and the Mauve. Both lovely so thank you for the recommendation. The viola grey is THE absolutely perfect shade of bluey pink and the Mauve is warmer but not hard on me at all.

They're nice and don't have any kind of scent too which I like. Can't say they're particularly hydrating but I'm not bothered about that really. Such a perfect colour ❤️

They look very dark on the Avon site but pinky/ mauve on the photos posted here.

I have really thin lips. They are dark to look at but don't look dark on. They're 8 quid at the moment so not a massive loss of it doesn't suit but I bet it will. I'm so pleased with mine and this thread shows what a fussy mare I am 😂
