Why is a proper cool toned lipstick so hard to find these days?

Anything with a hint of warmth is useless on me and makes me look very 'odd' 🙄 Even MAC doesn't have anything suitable, they're all too warm or too nude.

I got a Bourjois one this morning which I think will be ok, properly pink.

Primark used to be fantastic for lip crayons which were fantastic pinky nudes but no more 🙄

Am I missing somewhere obvious I should be looking? Even Rimmel Asia is no good for me but Soft Hearted is.

Yes, l always end up in Bourjois. They are the only ones who do it properly. I need a lot of purple, almost blue in my lipsticks.

Maybelline do quite a few cool tones but they do tend to be pretty vivid with it.

I've had success with Maybelline in the past, I think they're good along with bourjois.

I always wear cool toned lipsticks, but they're always bright and/or deep shades. Are you looking for more natural shades? My summer toned daughter swears by Maybelline superstay in rose dust (185).

Rose Dust is beautiful but far too dark for my thin lips, I need it to be more natural unfortunately. What fussy article I am! Too dark makes me look very hard faced.

Yesss too dark/bright makes me look like a drag queen!

Its really hard. And l think a fair percentage of the U.K. must be cool based. All those English roses.

Have you tried Rimmel Snog? It's a lipgloss not a lipstick though.

What about a NARS lipstick in the shade Anita. It's a lovely wearable rose pink shade.

I wish I’d never clicked on this thread. I seem to have devoted my entire life and many lost hours in search of the perfect nude cool lipstick. Most cool ones are too dark, or too pink. I need a blue one l think!

I have a couple of cool toned pink lipsticks from Max Factor, but they are pink, rather than nude. I've given up the search for a cool toned nude lipstick!

This is interesting as I hadn't thought of why some lipsticks look hideous on me. It's definitely warm colours that don't suit me, I am very cool toned with pale skin.
My favourite lipstick colour ever is Loreal Colour Riche lipstick in Erotique 640. It doesn't look like the pictures on Google. It's like a pinky, rusty nude but must be cool toned as it suits me.

I’m very pale and cool toned and get on well with Glossier Generation G lipsticks, my favourite is the shade Like.

Another favourite is Secret Salma by Charlotte Tilbury.

I'm pale, blonde hair with very light blue eyes. The majority of lipsticks look very wrong on me. The only one that I repurchase is Rimmel Asia, luckily it is also very inexpensive.

I have similar colouring. Clinique Beige Pop or the darker Plum Pop might work for you.

Mac Craving is one I've bought recently
