Why is a proper cool toned lipstick so hard to find these days?

Anything with a hint of warmth is useless on me and makes me look very 'odd' 🙄 Even MAC doesn't have anything suitable, they're all too warm or too nude.

I got a Bourjois one this morning which I think will be ok, properly pink.

Primark used to be fantastic for lip crayons which were fantastic pinky nudes but no more 🙄

Am I missing somewhere obvious I should be looking? Even Rimmel Asia is no good for me but Soft Hearted is.

I'm very cool toned. A bright winter, so these might be a bit clownish if you are a different season, but they are all very cool.
Some discontinued but you can usually find them on ebay etc.

Rarely blue, though teal and turquoise work.

Interesting. Quite a combination. That makes me think you lean warm! 🤣 You're an enigma I cannot crack. I wear a lot of grey, charcoal, burgundy, navy, emerald and mint greens, pale blues, pale pinks, teal, dark purples (generally jewel tones). I don't suit khaki, brown, orange, yellow, beige, camal, aqua, neons, bright red. I will always chose navy over black. My neutrals are navy, dark grey, and burgundy/maroon. Black isn't really my thing but that's bacuse it's hard imo to team up.

I do love colour. I've got a soft spot for royal/electric blue eyeliner with sugar pink shadow and blusher. It's a bit 80s, but gorgeous. I've come late to tight lining, but a soft pearly green stubby liner paired with black tight liner looks fabulous.

That sounds lovely. I've got a soft spot for pearly pink lipstick Max Factor English rose and Dusky pink, so 80s and early 90s but I just love them. They are so lovely with micro shimmer. I think they look particularly nice with a soft wooly jumper. I've also got a navy eyeliner, and a forset green. My favourite eyeshadows, other than soft taupes and browns is lavender, pinks and lilacs. Today I'm wearing a Shiseido eyeshadow quad in Hanatsunaki Street nightlife which is dusky roses, I've teamed it with Clinique lipstick in Plum pop and a charcoal jumper dress.

@picklemewalnuts it sounds like we’re similar in terms of the colours that suit us. Until I read this thread, I thought I was so pale and blue eyed that I couldn’t possible be anything but cool toned. But then I realised that absolutely none of the lipsticks recommended here would suit me, so something clearly wasn’t “right”.

I possible have been taking this a bit too seriously, but to get to the bottom of it, I took a picture of myself. I then used an app to pick little samples of colours from different bits of my face. To my surprise, I found that underneath my rosey cheeks I’m hiding a very pale, but definitely peachy skin. My mind is blown 🤯 Also my eyes turn out to not be as blue as I thought they were...It’s been quite a revelation!

My favourite lipstick is Nars Dolce Vita, which I thought was cool, but is apparently a warm leaning mid value pink. I feel I’ve been fooling myself for decades 😂

I'm trying so hard to use up my stock before buying new, but you guys aren't helping!

On the other hand I've cemented my confidence in what works, and will stick to it! I need more eyeliners, I'm almost out. I'm limited by a preference for chubby wood pencils.

lisa Eldridge does some lovely blue based pinks and mauves.

Its very sheer, so not at all dark. I would have liked to try the Black Honey one more time!🙄bloody teens.

I had the black honey, in the long stylo tube, it wasn't for me unfortunately, it was way too brown and orange and didn't suit me.

For me it goes quite red. But it makes my eyes look greener, so l can live with it!

I mentioned that one upthread, it's a great subtle everday shade for cool tones.

Clinique have a few other shades in the "almost lipstick" which are nice too.

My friend was wearing a nice Lippie the other day and it was cool toned- Maybelline Rose Dust 24 hour stay one.

I just picked up Max Factor Midnight Mauve on a whim in Boots. It's a very pretty cool berry pink. It's fairly sheer and moisturising.
I noticed some nice cool pinks in the Milani range too.

This one was in my Ebay watch list. Does it have micro shimmer? I love micro shimmer.
