I love the red suit. I like the asymmetric cut of the front, it makes it look more informal and the position of the pocket flaps add some curves to her hips and balances her shape well- very flattering. I don’t like the earrings, if she wanted statement earrings she should have chosen from the many royal gems, otherwise a simple drop would have looked better.

I love the suit! But waaaaaay too much red - complete overkill. The outfit needed a different handbag and shoes. Even black would have been better.

BUT as I have said before in here, I am completely here for Kate's work in the Early Years 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The earrings are rubbish though. She must be able to find something better in the family vault.💎

Love the suit, love the colour blocking, love the earrings - I would definitely wear those myself. One of Kate’s best recent looks I think - up there with her white embellished dress for the South African State Visit.

I like Kate's red suit, the cut of the jacket is very flattering for her, and it's not as austere a look as so many business suits. I would have liked it better with a different colour for her accessories, and I'm bored with the pointy stiletto shoes.

l noticed that shade of red is called Welsh Red by Alexander McQueen, apparently inspired by a Welsh quilt he had seen. Perhaps Kate is going to make this her signature colour, as part of the 'diplomatic' dressing she often uses.

I love the suit.

Don't like the earrings at all. As pp said, go big or go classic IMO.

The monochrome look is much more interesting when there is some subtle texture - the bag should have been a little more standout, IMO. Again, agree with @AdaColeman that the shoes were such a boring, boring choice. It's really not hard to be interesting with footwear!!

The change of texture on Leti's bag lifts this outfit and makes it much more interesting/impactful.

Max does the same thing with a slightly different tone to the blouse, and patent shoes. Plus the style of the shoes is much more interesting.

I like Kate's chunky silver, acrylic and walnut earrings, (£70 from Chalk).

It makes a nice change to see her wearing contemporary jewellery, and hopefully something that she chose herself, or at least enjoys wearing.

It must be so daunting when every pair of earrings you wear is hailed as a tribute to your MIL or your husband's granny!

I like the earrings to a point - I agree it's nice to see her wearing contemporary, reasonably priced styles, but I just think they're a little odd looking. In person they might look better, when you can see the detail. However from far away the shape isn't nice and as pp said, looks a bit R2D2-like.

Having had a look at them close up, I do actually really like them!

I'd have worn them as a teenager with my Ankh necklace or giant carved wooden cross on a leather shoe lace . But at 40 nah

Eh, 40+ is the new 20 IMO! I like a bit of a contemporary twist here and there to keep me 'young' and current. And I can't stand prescriptive age-related rules so there's always a wee bit of resistance/rebellion on that front! But I think you can mix and match - I also like classic, more expensive pieces.

(But if you made me PoW and I had choose I'd definitely, definitely take direction from Max and GO BIG on fabulous gems! One key difference, I suppose, is that Max is actually Queen. Kate isn't. Mind you Diana didn't shy away from stonking great jewellery whilst PoW/beyond. But I think Kate is a little more reserved, and that's okay!)

Plus the style of the shoes is much more interesting.

I tend to regard all shoes with clear vinyl inserts as horrific, not interesting, but will agree that at least they are not plain pumps!

I too like wearing contemporary jewellery with my business wear, even when I have plenty of classical options (pearls, studs etc - I don’t mean diamond chandeliers, alas! 🤣) I could choose.

I really don't get exercised much over whether Kate rewears or not, but she does. not. need. another. new. green.coat.

I know she's going for the "young businesswoman" dress code, but goodness, it's too much of the same.

@Serenster me too!! Don't like them AT ALL. But Kate would get 5 million points for interesting if she wore a pair. Just the once!

Kate looks gorgeous today ! I see she noted the suggestion that her bag should be a different tone or texture when going for the same colourway.😀

She is wearing a green version of the red coat she wore when Hold Still was launched back in lockdown. I wonder if she just orders multiple versions of things from McQueen at once?

@Serenster I think that's a distinct possibility, and does make sense.

I love the green coat. As far as I'm concerned you can never have too many green coats - there are so many lovely shades.

Many points for interesting bag, and also for not matching jumper and boots or bag and boots or coat and boots!

Also like the chunky earrings, and points for no green in them!

Ohh it's a jumper dress (I think! Possibly separates). I do like a jumper dress!

Big thumbs up for me on this look. It's classic Kate but a little more fresh.
