Peaks print dress arrived.. Love it ! Id show you a photo but I have just slipped it on over my jeans and tee ...
I like the new fennel balloon trousers, but not sure with the new sizes what to order .. its annoying..

Countmeout · 12/01/2023 12:12

Thanks @dudsville , that was me. Lost patience with them and returned them before I ran out of time. I didn’t feel I could make them work.

Wore my Donegal scarf yesterday. It sings in sunshine too.
Am wearing the very hairy tank today. Will attach a picture. Francis T underneath in Cumin from a few years ago. Probably not everyone’s cup of tea .

I said I wasn’t buying anything full price again as mostly it comes back round but very keen on this at some point. I’ve been looking for a jumper like this for a while. Not sure about the length or the sizes. Hope someone who visits a shop can point us all in the right direction regarding the new sizing.

Also final sale purchases for me.

The round collar tee in chalk white (the cumin is going back) and the tie neck cord shirt in pale stone.

In both cases, I have already have same items in other colours (moss and slate respectively) and enjoy wearing them. The colours are a gamble but if they work (will be ruthless here), current prices are very good and they will sit in a not too overcrowded niche in my wardrobe.

I also don't mind a bit of green, particular rich/deep shades, and like the look of the Bryn Tie Crepe Dress. It would have to be fabulous on as I have Toast dresses galore.

Stoic123 · 12/01/2023 12:38

@Countmeout - tank looks good.

I like that jumper too (but in the green) and could be tempted to buy full price as it would be a real workhorse. Certainly better cost-per-wear than the Bryn Neck Tie dress.

dudsville · 12/01/2023 15:01

I'm interested in the men's fair isle, i prefer the colours to the women's. Wondering about sizing. Anyone ever ordered a men's toast jumper for themselves???

dudsville · 12/01/2023 15:02

Oops, this one

faustina · 12/01/2023 15:32

@Countmeout - that tank is really nice on you!

Here's the little neckerchief - I have given it a test run and it's not at all itchy. Such a good idea - I never saw small wooly scarves before! Her patterned stuff is very pretty too. Sorry about the blurry pic

Oh that’s lovely @faustina .

Did anyone manage to see the video? When it was live I had a dreadful connection but have since managed to watch it.
I do like the colour palette. Some lovely bits and pieces.
I really like the cream coat (really practical 🙄) but I think it would be too long on me.

More things have been added to site in new in but no sign of the judo top except with the trousers.

That is a perfect little item @faustina !

faustina · 12/01/2023 16:42

That coat is lovely! I had one like it years ago - it was so useful in the summer
haven't seen the video yet!

Where is the video? I looked for it but it isn't on Toast live? I can't see it.

Countmeout · 12/01/2023 16:45

@neveradullmoment99 you have to go in through the link they sent

faustina · 12/01/2023 16:45

@dudsville - thank you! it is really useful because it doesn't get in the way like a big scarf, but it's warmer than a silk or cotton bandana

Ahh...thank you😀

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 12/01/2023 16:53

I watched the video, some quite nice pieces, although I don't think there was much for me. I did like the top Nikki was wearing which I think was this:

www.toa.st/products/half-placket-denim-shirt-indigo-mid-blue

I would also liked to have seen some of the new dresses, they did show the pinafore that has been out for a while which again I like but I'm probably the wrong shape for it.

Stoic123 · 12/01/2023 17:08

Watched the video and quite liking the stuff.

The chambray shirt has gone on the mabye list with couple of the jackets. Really pleased the flat fronted jeans are going to be a permanent feature- probably the most worn item in my wardrobe.

Laska2Meryls · 12/01/2023 17:10

Haha! I just made a purchase from the new drop.. but only the new green boat neck tee.. I know that I will wear that so much and they new colours usually sell out fast .. I still regret not getting the plum one when it first came out in AW21

AFingerofFudge · 12/01/2023 17:33

Can anyone link the video please? When I try to look at it on the website, and only direct me to a toast live on the 18th Jan.

Snowyowl78 · 12/01/2023 17:37

Video was good, now I really want the jumpsuit! I thought they were going to announce a winner of £300?!

I feel like Toast have really got my number when they bring out a few colours in a item, which I then buy and love, and then in the next seasons drop they release even better colours so I have to buy them too! I kind of wish they’d bring out all the colours together so I could pick my favourites from the whole lot. Good marketing strategy I guess!

AFingerofFudge · 12/01/2023 18:01

Thanks @Snowyowl78

There is so much I love in this collection, I'm glad I made some sensible decisions over what to return in the sale. (Still spent a bit too much!!)

MiracleToast · 12/01/2023 18:23

Tiny seeds of renewal... perfect sentiment for a dark rainy January, right?

AFingerofFudge · 13/01/2023 07:42

I have news! I'm off to visit a friend in Brighton today. She's not a Toast fan, but also she doesn't finish work until a couple of hours after I arrive so I'm heading straight for Toast Grin I will attempt to take some photos of lovely new things so roll up roll up with any particular requests for close ups etc

lordloveadog · 13/01/2023 07:45

Oh yes please photos!
