Happy to oblige, KillingMeDeftly, but there was one detail in the published extracts that made my jewel-loving ears prick up. Harry said that one of the options presented to Meghan as a possible wedding tiara was an all-emerald tiara. Allowing for possible translation issues, as this comes from the Spanish version of the book, could there be yet another unseen royal emerald tiara in the vaults? I almost wish she had gone for that one!

An all-emerald tiara would be quite unusual - the only one I can think is the ivy leaf tiara Rania has borrowed from Boucheron a couple of times (it’s quite costumey, but also a gorgeous piece, I would definitely wear it)

Ooh I don't know about that tiara. It's unusual but also looks like it's been left out in the rain and got covered in moss!

TangledWebOfDeception · 06/01/2023 10:08

Ohh lovely! I wonder which tiara that is. Emerald would look absolutely gorgeous on Kate.

Sorry if anyone was annoyed by my mentioning the Circus here but sometimes I have to because this is the only sane place where I can mention it without everyone going spare*. And also I don't think anyone has actually talked about it much so I'm not sure we needed an admonition/chiding or whatever. It's not like we don't know the rules.

(see what I did there?😉)

TangledWebOfDeception · 06/01/2023 10:11

I'm yearning for some actual frocks/jewels/etc to pore over. Maybe a joint birthday party for EBDG and SWP!!

RomainingCalm · 06/01/2023 10:35

That ivy leaf tiara wouldn't look out of place on the mantelpiece as part of the Christmas decorations. It looks better on.

I wonder whether something was lost in translation and it was the emerald tiara that Eugenie wore for her wedding that was offered. It would have looked lovely with her dress and hair.

TangledWebOfDeception · 06/01/2023 11:40

Reading that back I sound a bit snippy! Not meant that way.

Eaumyword · 06/01/2023 12:07

I don't think so @TangledWebOfDeception at all!
Truth is, it's vereee hard not to want to pass comment because my face was like this all day yesterday at all the USA based shenanigans 😯🙈

I quite like that green tiara but know what @KillingMeDeftly means about being left to grow moss! I'd still wear it though 😂

MotherofPearl · 06/01/2023 12:43

Albert and Charlene have been opening an aquatic centre at Fort Lauderdale. I'm not sure about Char's skirt but she looks great in that simple black turtleneck, especially in the photo with her wearing sunglasses. Tres chic.

I quite like that tiara with its entwined ivy tendrils, especially if worn with a pale lemon or deep apricot frock, for a woodland nymph vibe. You might need to be called Elfine to pull the look off though!

AdaColeman · 06/01/2023 13:00

Oh I agree MotherofPearl Charlene is très chic there. I like that colour combination of cream, browns and black, and often put it together in my outfits, as it's easy to wear for me.
I like Albert's hat too!

KillingMeDeftly · 06/01/2023 13:03

Charlene looks good but it seems very random for them to go all the way to Florida to open a swimming pool!

I could see it being worn by an actress playing Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Eaumyword · 06/01/2023 13:28

Ooh yes, Char really suits that black sweater/sunnies look with her hair. Very modely!

paradyning · 06/01/2023 14:05

Char looks fab there.

Serenster · 06/01/2023 14:16

I love that skirt! Especially with the black jumper and sunnies - she looks fab! She always looks so happy to be poolside 😀

AdaColeman · 06/01/2023 14:36

Charlene's skirt is by Longchamp. The fabric and the cut has got a bit of an ethnic vibe going on, but I think it's clever that by pairing it with the plain black jumper and shoes Charlene has avoided the "hippy" look and instead created such a cool ensemble.

That aquatic complex has one of the tallest dive towers in the world, and is a centre for international competition, so its not surprising that Charlene was keen to visit it, and don't forget Albert's Olympic committee links also. The visit was part of the celebrations of Albert & Charlene being given the keys of the city of Fort Lauderdale.

SenecaFallsRedux · 06/01/2023 15:23

I agree that Charlene looks great in the Ft. Lauderdale visit. But knowing how balmy it was in the whole state of Florida that day, to me she looks uncomfortably hot.

justasking111 · 06/01/2023 15:59

Charlene looks lovely but I'd be melting. It could be silk rather than wool I guess. Maybe she'll go for a dip

SenecaFallsRedux · 06/01/2023 16:19

These go back several generations; Albert's Kelly grandfather and uncle were both Olympians.

Maireas · 06/01/2023 16:46

I like Charlene's skirt, although I'm not sure about the black polo neck. However, the good thing is that she looks well, and recovered.

Letizia rocking a red gown again

Leti always looks amazing in red though this dress is a little fussy for my taste. I love the photos where she's wearing the black coat/cape with it though. This always seems like a tricky event to dress for - long gowns as daywear are hard to pull off.

Maireas · 06/01/2023 17:19

Leti always looks good in red, and that's a lovely shade. Tricky for day wear, as you say, @MotherofPearl .
I think it looks like there's lace overlay.

Great colour and style, but don't like the pattern.

justasking111 · 06/01/2023 20:21

The colour of Leti's dress made me think of ice-cream. Raspberry. I'm on a diet 😅😅
