& hello to everyone as I know I keep disappearing from these threads for a bit, but thats because over the last few months my life has been like a soap opera but I think things are getting back to normal now. Fingers crossed 🤞

Going back to genetics & the mention of Prince Albert Victor Duke of Clarence & Avondale, he's actually one of my 'historical crushes' along with George VI & the non royal Nikola Tesla.
Though none of the other royal men do it for me well perhaps Peter Phillips a tiny bit.
I know James Middleton is royal but I have a little crush on him.

I think historically the most beautiful British royal women have been Missy the Princess Marie of Edinburgh later Queen of Romania & the Connaught Princesses Daisy & Patsy (later Margaret Queen of Norway & Patricia Lady Ramsay)
All 4 of them Queen Victoria's granddaughters.
Also QV's eldest Vicky Princess Victoria later Kaiserin of Germany was beautiful too.
And most recently Princess Margaret.

Young Margaret was stunning but I don't see it with the others, although Victorian photography wasn't particularly flattering. I don't think the BRF have been known for their good looks overall. Alexandra of Denmark's beauty comes through in photos though, so she must've been incredibly beautiful in the flesh!

So interesting with the genetics - to me, they all look similar, but I suppose that makes sense, given Victoria's children married well across Europe with generations of children.

Great picture of the Belgian Royals out at their Christmas concert. Not sure about Mathilde's dress (either the style or the colour) but Princess Elizabeth looks stunning in that blue dress.

Elisabeth looks gorgeous - that's a very chic dress.

I'm not often a big fan of Charlene's style, but I absolutely love this outfit! It's a skirt and top (LV knitwear), according to NMR. The whole look is quite 60s, especially with her cropped hair. She looks extremely chic imo.

POW wears tartan outside of Scotland! I do like the whole look especially with the boots rather than spikey shoes. Will never be a fan of gold buttons though, I know I've said that before.

I agree re Charlene. The gamine Jean Seburg/Mia Farrow look really suits her.

Wow, Char looks fantastic! Agree that look is pure 1960's Mia Farrow. I personally would prefer that look with boots, but the shoes add to the '60's vibe.

Charlene does look very sharp, and it's quite a contrast to the obligatory long swishy hair look.

Max's absolutely stunning necklace isn't modern. Its part of the Mellerio Ruby parure, which means it comes with matching tiara! Not so keen on the tiara, looks a little like a suspension bridge, but the necklace is amazing
