Do you think we need to use a top coat / base coat for the nail varnish?

not sure about the colour of this nail polish. It’s very dark indeed isn’t it? Definitely a winter colour. I’ll try it on my toes.

I love the colour of this! I have fat fingers so a darker varnish helps make them look a bit slimmer.

So dark I can't read the label! Not sure what to do with it as I don't know anyone who uses nail polish.

I like it. I will use it on my toes as I have gel nails.

Todays is definitely one for me to pass onto DD - it will make me look exhumed but she will be happy!

@Octoberfishing I’d certainly recommend a base coat especially with darker colours

I like that dark colour for winter toes. So this will get used.

I remember on previous M&S Beauty Advent Calendars, when we'd finished opening the calendar we did swaps of things we didn't like or use.

Hello, I'm a bit late to the party (and just did a seasonal name change).

I was really pleased to get the M&S calendar this year because I live abroad and it's not available here. I was lucky and DH was in the U.K. at just the right moment! However it got slightly bent in the post which meant I had the same problem as PPs opening the lower drawer - if the side of the box is at all squashed it just doesn't come out! Managed eventually after pulling the ribbon off so have left it sticking out for the next item!

Anyway, my sensitive eyes have been really happy with the Ren eye cream, although I've only used it underneath.

I think I'll like the Origins face wash as I like the brand.

Nail Polish will be perfect on my toes!

So feels like a good selection so far...

Loved yesterday's, DD and I regularly do our own nails and swap polish. I've used todays in the past and found it very good.

I like the look of todays shampoo. I hope there is a conditioner somewhere too as these sizes are perfect for travelling.

Shampoo looks good, ideal for a week away.

I wanted to try some of the Philip Kingsley products so I’m pleased to see this shampoo. Based on the price of the 75 ml size at Cult Beauty this 60 ml would be worth £8.40 bringing our running total to £57.

Really pleased with today's. I love trying new shampoos and this one smells really nice.

Still using the REN eye cream, I think it's the best one I've ever used.

Today's is the first one I definitely won't use, as I follow the curly girl method so don't use shampoo. I'll give it to my mum, or maybe DD.

Pleased with today’s! I’m on the lookout for a new shampoo, the one I normally use has been discontinued. Not so sure about yesterday’s, I only really wear nail polish in summer and it feels a dead-of-winter colour.

Another curly girl here so won't use it, but I'll give it to a friend.
