Just opened box 1 - love REN stuff so I’m pleased. I’m half way through a Superdrug eye cream, so I’ll finish that before trying this.

LizzieSiddal · 01/12/2022 21:44

I’m really pleased with this cream too. Will try it tonight.

helenabonhamfarter · 01/12/2022 22:24

Yay!
My favourite thread of the year.
Love the box this year, happy with the offering.

GetUsedToTheHeatAgain · 02/12/2022 03:02

No 2 for me as I am ahead, again very happy with the 'product' and i like the 'brand'!

No spoilers!

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 02/12/2022 07:13

Ooh, nice! I'll enjoy using this.

Chickydoo · 02/12/2022 07:35

I am going on holiday for a week at the end of Jan so this is perfect size to take with me for a week.

MrsDoyle351 · 02/12/2022 07:40

yes please for spoilers!

I am living vicariously through this thread, so need to know what was day 2

Neversaygoodbye · 02/12/2022 07:40

I can't decide whether to save for possible holiday usage or dive right in. I've saved items in the past but I wonder if it feels more of a Christmas treat to start using stuff straight away?

JPE · 02/12/2022 07:48

How do you open the bottom section? It simply won’t budge and the ribbon has come off through trying!

JPE · 02/12/2022 07:49

Or do you just go through the top??

LampLass · 02/12/2022 07:50

It's a drawer so mine just slid out?

Bizzyone · 02/12/2022 07:54

First ever beauty advent calendar for me and am loving it! Admittedly I opened everything yesterday (dont worry no spoilers!) So am excited for people doing day by day!

What im loving is discovering the new brands/products (not a frequent m&s shopper!) So I dont even mind things not being full sized as means I get to try things then can always invest in the full sizes of things i love!

Eye cream from yesterday was lovely and amazingly my very sensitive eyes agreed πŸ‘πŸ½

Countmeout · 02/12/2022 07:57

Today’s is a handy size for holiday. Not opening it yet as I have one like it on the go.

Zib · 02/12/2022 08:00

Tried today's... will keep for use on hands rather than face as it's too harsh.

Sluj · 02/12/2022 08:01

My ribbon came off too and I had to wriggle the drawer out without squashing it down. I've left it half open . Not so impressed with the design now

piedbeauty · 02/12/2022 08:04

Love todays item! Perfect for weekends away. And I like the brand πŸ‘πŸΌ

Dox9 · 02/12/2022 08:04

I loved todays product but broke the box trying to get the bottom drawer out :( the divide between the drawers is very flimsy in mine.

Mine broke too 😞

AuntyPeanut · 02/12/2022 08:45

I was able to open up my bottom drawer ok. I'm trying day 2 product this evening. Tried product of day 1 and I think it's ok, applied it a couple of hours ago and no stinging or anything. Concealer went on well on top of it.
The boxes are so pretty I love the celestial cosmic patterns seems a waste to bin but I have to force myself as I can't stand clutter and realistically haven't a good use for them.

notanicepersonapparently · 02/12/2022 08:51

@MrsDoyle351
its Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face wash in a travel size. It’s after 7.30 so I hope I’m ok posting that. I’ve not tried it yet as I’d already washed my face before opening the advent calendar.

dooneyousmugelf · 02/12/2022 09:06

My ribbon snapped off too πŸ˜‚
Happy enough with the face wash although I'm strangely set in my ways with my current one. I will use it, though. I use everything and never save them!

CointreauVersial · 02/12/2022 09:12

Ahhh......I love this thread.

Claim to fame - I started the first ever MN M&S Advent Calendar thread for the very first one they sold, maybe 10 years ago?? Some days it was just me talking to myself...haha.

Loved yesterday's eye cream, but not a fan of today's face wash. I actually have a tube of it on the go at the moment (can get Philosophy cheaply from DH's staff shop) and it's too harsh and drying for 55 year old skin. Will regift to someone younger.

Neversaygoodbye · 02/12/2022 09:13

I decided to try it. It froths up nicely, you will only need a small amount - I used too much & looked like I'd spread shaving foam all over my face lol. Felt nice, maybe a little drying afterwards.

Colcat · 02/12/2022 09:15

Philosophy? Mine was Origins?

PatChauncey · 02/12/2022 09:16

I was a bit worried about the frothing bit, but checked the ingredients and no SLS (it brings me out in an itchy rash) so I gave it a go in the shower this morning and liked it - it felt much more luxurious than my usual Aldi one πŸ˜†
