Lol the β€œmirror”is so dimpled, it makes my hair look like it’s been crimped 🀣

RoxieLoxy · 21/12/2022 13:20

Ooh just took the blue film off mine. Yep looks like a comedy funfair mirror but it's also quite festively silver πŸ™‚

I'll be repurchasimg the Black Tulip perfume and the powdery Nuxe cream which I'm using under my eyes only as it seems to reduce appearance of fine lines and make up goes on nicely over it.

AnnieSnap · 21/12/2022 18:08

@toast that should read Label.M

funnily enough I’m just using the last dregs of the same Emma Hardie cream, so today’s is a win for me!

I will repurchase the Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo and Leave In Conditioner. I was doubtful when I saw it, but it’s great for my hair.

I'm confused. What are you taking thr blue film off?

AbbyGal · 21/12/2022 22:36

The film off the lid on the inside of the box.

CointreauVersial · 21/12/2022 22:45

Haha, last time I was home I found my mum trying to glue back the plastic film onto the front of her new oven....maybe if it was blue she might have worked it out. πŸ˜†

I'm enjoying this calendar although I deliberately didn't get one last year. I did have the summer treat, though, which I loved.

The one thing I'd rebut (but I haven't tried out everything yet) is the Luxe merveillance lift. I also know I love Lights Camera Action 3-in-1 but it's quite pricey.

Twoscotcheggsandajarofmarmite · 21/12/2022 23:58

Oh my god! I’ve only just read the small print on the Prai eye cream. I assumed it was just another eye cream and I’d use it after I’d finished the Ren one from day 1
its not!! You smooth it on your brow bone and is it dries it lifts up your saggy old eyes I’m so excited to try it tomorrow.

AnnieSnap · 22/12/2022 01:42

@Twoscotcheggsandajarofmarmite Interesting! We’ll all be transformed 😌

We definitely got a lot more full size items last year, didn't we?

Countmeout · 22/12/2022 07:24

Yes the size of the box even suggested it might be bigger. Slightly disappointed as I liked the one I got last year (a lot).

Similarly disappointed with the size. We did get more full size items last year I thought. Unless they were just more distributed as we seemed to get a few full sizes early on this year.
Really like this one though and it's another handy size for travelling.

Pearl664 · 22/12/2022 07:56

Im pleased with today's as I love the product and it's a perfect size to take on holiday. We've had this full size before but I'm not sure that it was in an advent calendar, I remember getting one in a summer beauty box. But perhaps there was one in an advent calendar as well.

notanicepersonapparently · 22/12/2022 08:26

Aveda botanical repair light travel size 25 ml costs Β£12 on the Aveda website. This product in the regular version in this size was in the Liberty advent calendar this year.
The total value so far is Β£248.

HeySeamus · 22/12/2022 09:19

I like Aveda hair products so I'm pleased with this but also disappointed it's not a full size as per previous years.
Re. The Prai eye cream, I was saving it until I'd finished the Ren too but now I know it's not for under eyes, I'll start it sooner. my saggy eyelids need a miracle!

CointreauVersial · 22/12/2022 11:05

I initially thought this was the same product that we've had before.....but this is a rinse-out masque, so more like a conditioner. The previous stuff was a leave-in strengthener, and one I use regularly, so high hopes for this product.

Oh me too! I'll have another look at it!

TheBelmont · 22/12/2022 12:45

I can’t get excited about todays offering. I will use it but I’ve realised I’m really here for the fancy face creams 😁

AnnieSnap · 22/12/2022 13:34

I’m not very interested in today’s product. I have so many hair conditioners from last year’s box, summer beauty box and the Lookfantastic AC. Getting through them is even less likely since receiving the Philip Kingsley Body Building range which I’m now in love with as it’s perfect for my hair.

@Twoscotcheggsandajarofmarmite "saggy old eyes" 🀣🀣🀣

I did not know this so I'm going to try it now. I'll report back if i look 10 years younger....

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 22/12/2022 14:22

Apart from the Shay & Blue Black Tulip scent I haven't used else anything in the calendar yet!
As I'm being good & working my way through the products that I've already got before I start something new, which makes a big change for me!

RoxieLoxy · 22/12/2022 14:25

Ok I'm back. Tried the Prai eye stuff. OK not quite 10 years younger but it's doing something. I'll try it again tomorrow. If it works it's another thing I'll be buying.

Anyone else tried it yet?

Countmeout · 23/12/2022 08:32

A bit of a meh morning. I would use this but not terribly exciting.

Pearl664 · 23/12/2022 08:34

Not very excited by today's but it saves buying it!
