I've been opening the calendar but haven't been posting.
I'll use the mousse, I have a short textured style and always use mousse. I'll use it but would never spend the retail price.
Eye liner, I'll use it but like others would have preferred a dark grey.
Not sure about todays, I don't tend to prime, but I'll give it a go.

CointreauVersial · 16/12/2022 22:33

Interested to try today's - I like a double-duty product.

TheBelmont · 17/12/2022 07:07

OMG…today takes me right back to 1982 and stealing squirts of my mothers Tweed perfume πŸ˜‚

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 17/12/2022 07:45

I didn't like the scent much at first, but it's "settled" quite nicely.

notanicepersonapparently · 17/12/2022 08:02

I’ve just had a spray of this one and I like it so far. It is a M&S own brand eau de toilette called Discover Warm Neroli 30ml which they sell for Β£5. The total value to date is Β£170.

Neversaygoodbye · 17/12/2022 08:09

Way too flowery for me, so sadly it's a miss.

bigTillyMint · 17/12/2022 08:17

Not keen on this scent on me - could be a swapper or pass on to DD!

GetUsedToTheHeatAgain · 17/12/2022 08:55

todays perfume is way too sweet and sickly for me even after leaving it on for ages (wanted to wash it of right away), so another to pass on to someone

HollyHocks13 · 17/12/2022 09:31

I really love this perfume. I'll definitely wear it

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 17/12/2022 10:09

Not entirely sure about this perfume will either swap or give to my Mum

lbnblbnb · 17/12/2022 12:22

I like the perfume, might keep it or give it to DD. I think it is impossible to please us all with every item, but for me the ratio of win to fail is very good.

MissHavershamReturns · 17/12/2022 12:28

Quite like the perfume

toastfiend · 17/12/2022 12:29

I've been following this thread but haven't been posting. I like the perfume today, although I hate the Shay & Blue one we had earlier in the month - didn't like it last year, either, so was disappointed to get the same one again.

Love yesterday's 3-in-1 product. Gave me a lovely, dewy base, foundation stayed all day, looked great, and didn't oxidise (which is a problem I have with lots of primers). Definitely going on my "will buy" list.

I've also really liked the night cream we had. Not sure the eye cream is doing much, but I'm enjoying using it anyway. The lip colour balm is OK but a slightly odd colour/not sure about the metallic element, so I've found that less is definitely more with it. Liked the shampoo and conditioner and the elasticizer is good, except all Philip Kingsley stuff smells bizarrely of sweaty clothes that haven't been washed properly to me. I haven't tried the mousse yet, but just had my hair cut from very long into a lob, so might have a use for it now! Wish we'd had a different colour eyeliner, black is so harsh and I find it ageing. We had a lovely metallic grey last year and it was so much softer and more flattering - I've used it loads. The black one this year will just join the other array of black pencils I never use at the bottom of my make-up bag.

Overall, I've been really pleased with it, though. Had some lovely things and it always feels like a treat opening it in the mornings.

MrsWidgerysLodger · 17/12/2022 14:17

So today's is not something I would go and pick for myself but having tried it I actually rather like it. Guess that's the whole point of these calendars but I'm still pleasantly surprised. So far the only complete miss has been the peach lip crayon. I have plenty of black eyeliners already but I also use them so I'm not counting it as a miss as such, just more a boring disappointment!

CordeliaNaismithVorkosigan · 17/12/2022 15:14

Today’s is too floral for me. Pity, but perfume is so personal, it couldn’t be a hit for everyone.

ApolloandDaphne · 17/12/2022 15:52

I like todays perfume but I don't like the earlier one.

Tomorrowisanewday · 17/12/2022 17:47

I've been really impressed with it so far, the lip crayon was the only one I won't at least try.

AnnieSnap · 17/12/2022 17:49

I can’t smell today’s perfume, but I’m recovering from Covid and my sense of smell is very hit and Miss.

I quite like today's perfume and the shay & blue one.
Actually worn the shay & blue one everyday so far.

HighlandCowRose · 17/12/2022 20:05

Today I tried the 'this works' primer/Moisturiser, I was pleasantly surprised, I had full make up on today because I was going for a pre Christmas lunch. My make up has lasted very well.

IconicKitty · 18/12/2022 07:45

Slightly disappointed we have another nail varnish today tbh.

Neversaygoodbye · 18/12/2022 08:21

I'll probably be passing this on. Love doing my own nails but not a fan of the colour.

Sluj · 18/12/2022 08:55

I think we had the same colour a couple of years ago? Mine has nearly gone so I'm happy with this. It looks great on toe nails and any slight holiday chips don't really show up, a very practical colour for 2 weeks away

notanicepersonapparently · 18/12/2022 09:51

I love a gold nail polish for Christmas. It gives a bit of a festive feeling. It’s my equivalent of a Christmas jumper (which I don’t own). I can’t find this one for sale anywhere and the prices if Nails inc products vary a bit and many sites don’t give the sizes either. There is a different nails inc gold polish for sale at M&S for Β£11 for 15ml (I’m guessing) which would be Β£7 for this size. Our total to date is Β£177.

TheBelmont · 18/12/2022 10:49

Not loving this colour. Two days of dud for me but overall been very pleased and you can’t please everyone
