@TracyBeakerSoYeah - a mix of heroes, celebrations and Terry's choc orange sweets, plus mini packs of choc cookies. And yes, dh loves it!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 19/12/2022 16:19

I'm looking forward to trying the Prai eye serum.

What are you plans with the empty Advent box?
I'm either going to get some dividers & put my jewellery in it or use it as make up storage.

I’m going to use it for craft bits. I love a box.

This morning’s offering. I haven’t used this sort of product since I was a teenager thousands of years ago. Might give it a go as I’m trying to stretch out time between washing.

MrsWidgerysLodger · 20/12/2022 07:45

This is a good one for me as I'm not always well enough to wash my hair (chronic illness) Not tried this brand before though. Still happy that the only miss so far was the peach lip crayon for me (which is free to anyone that wants it - just shout up!)

notanicepersonapparently · 20/12/2022 07:47

Living proof perfect hair day advanced clean dry shampoo 90ml is today’s product. It costs Β£12 and brings the total up to Β£210. I’ve not found the market leader in dry shampoo works for me, but this one promises great things so I’ll give it a try.

Neversaygoodbye · 20/12/2022 07:53

This is one of the products that I've been waiting for. Gets such good reviews I've always wondered if it was just hype so looking forward to trying it out.

HeySeamus · 20/12/2022 08:32

This product is AMAZING. It was in a previous years calendar and I loved it so much that I repurchased a full sized can. Unfortunately it's too expensive for me to use all the time but it really worked for me. Other, cheaper dry shampoos don not sadly.

listsandbudgets · 20/12/2022 10:40

Very happy with today's. Mornings can be such a rush I use these sort of products quite a lot to save time and get out of the door looking and smelling vaguely acceptable!!

lbnblbnb · 20/12/2022 10:47

Happy with this morning's item. Only fails for so far are lip crayon and gold varnish - but both can be given away, so all fine.

AnnieSnap · 20/12/2022 12:01

I’m pleased with today’s. I have been using Label.M. It will be interesting to see if this is as good, or better.

CointreauVersial · 20/12/2022 12:47

Excellent product. I use dry shampoo for days two and three after washing hair, but to be honest I'm just as happy with good old Batiste and probably wouldn't pay up for this.

CointreauVersial · 20/12/2022 12:48

And I'm wearing the peachy lipstick today, which is gorgeous, as the dress I'm wearing has little flashes of the same colour. 😘

toastfiend · 20/12/2022 21:15

I loathe Batiste, it makes me hair feel powdery and sticky, and makes my scalp itchy, and I hate the smell. It's really put me off buying any dry shampoo so I was a bit disappointed when I saw this one, but tried it today and it's actually quite nice. I like the smell and my hair doesn't feel too powdery or heavy with it on. I'm not sure I like it enough to pay out for it when this one runs out, but I will use this one and see how I get on.

Speaking of the box itself, has anyone else been a bit disappointed with theirs? Mine looks super battered already, the tab on the drawer came off on the second day, and it just feels a bit shonky and poorly put together. I doubt I'll keep it when it's finished. It's a shame as I loved the metal tin last year and have kept that for accessories. This one just feels like a waste.

AnnieSnap · 21/12/2022 00:21

@toastfiend Lavel.M isn’t powdery or heavy either. I don’t know how it compares in price to this one.

My box is still fine. I think it will be useful in my sewing room.

As I drag my raddled, cold-ridden and exhausted carcass into work for 10 hour shift, I really hope this product delivers on its promise!

notanicepersonapparently · 21/12/2022 07:55

We’ve got Emma Hardie Midas Touch revitalising cream 30ml worth Β£26. I hope it works wonders for you@MadameSzyszkoBohusz. That sounds tough. Our total to date is Β£236.

toastfiend · 21/12/2022 08:06

Thanks @AnnieSnap, I'll definitely check it out. I've got very fine hair that tends towards being very oily. I have to wash it every day if I want to wear it down, so always keen to find an alternative that isn't so damaging for my hair.

Really happy with today's product. My skin is looking really good with what we've had so far. I am very prone to spots on my chin but they've really cleared up with the Origins Checks and Balances wash and the Lumene Night Cream has made me look more "glowy", I think. Looking forward to seeing what this one does!

Is anyone else planning to repurchase anything yet? I bought some more of the Origins cleanser yesterday and planning to buy the Lumene night cream when I run out.

HeySeamus · 21/12/2022 08:19

I like Elizabeth Hardie products so I'm pleased with this.
There's nothing that I'll repurchase yet but I haven't tried most of the items. I like to finish the products that I'm currently using first before starting something new.
I am using the Ren eye cream and the shampoo/conditioner and whilst it's nice, it's not setting my world on fire πŸ”₯

PatChauncey · 21/12/2022 08:25

I think I will re-purchase the Nordic sleeping cream - I can add it to my Amazon subscribe and save for only Β£19.

HeySeamus · 21/12/2022 08:30

Oh yes, I'm using the Nordic sleeping cream too. I love the smell and feel of this on my skin. Still not sure I'll repurchase though.

Countmeout · 21/12/2022 08:47

I’m using the Lumene too at night. I love the smell.
I had a 20% offer on skincare from the sparks advent calendar and bought a little set of their stuff as I loved the Glow boost essence which was in last year’s calendar. Thought it’d be handy for a holiday . Lumene is one I would definitely think of repurchasing full size .

I like Emma Hardie too and will use this morning but am currently using stuff I have before opening this one.

Neversaygoodbye · 21/12/2022 08:55

Looking forward to trying todays. I was wearing the Black Tulip perfume yesterday and someone commented on how nice it was, so that's definitely tempted me to consider buying it once the sample runs out. I had a Lumene calendar last year and was really impressed with their products, currently using their nordic C glow boost serum which is lovely.

Toley · 21/12/2022 09:35

Has anyone else only just realised you can peel off the blue film?! πŸ˜‚

Coconut80 · 21/12/2022 09:39

I'm definitely going to repurchase the nice powdery cream and the lumene night cream, hadn't tried either before and they are both lovely.

Twoscotcheggsandajarofmarmite · 21/12/2022 10:54

I’ve bought the full size of the Origins face wash, it’s really made a difference to my skin. Although you need such a tiny amount the small one won’t run out any time soon. I might just open the big one and keep the small one for travelling.

I’ve loved everything so far except the glittery orange lip crayon. It makes me look like Mrs Doyle making the effort for a visiting bishop.
