Today we got a black eyeliner- Limitless longwear pencil eyeliner in’Law of Attraction’. This costs Β£15 from M&S but is Β£10.50 at the moment direct from the manufacturer so I’m going with the lower price. Our running total is Β£152.

CointreauVersial · 15/12/2022 09:08

Yawn, yawn, yawn.

Not ANOTHER black eyeliner? All the gorgeous, flattering colours they could have gone for.....but no. Black again. Even my teenage DDs don't wear it.

GlomOfNit · 15/12/2022 09:34

I do wear black eyeliner but would have preferred a smoky grey or a brown! And I'm still using one of last year's (the other one malfunctioned and wouldn't propel, which was irritating). One to regift.

Neversaygoodbye · 15/12/2022 07:36

I do wish they'd at least branch out and put in a different colour for todays product, so boring. My least favourite so far.

They did last year, we got a lovely Stila one in a dark charcoal with a bit of sparkle, I wore it almost daily till it ran out! Black is a bit boring and doesn't suit a lot of people.

GetUsedToTheHeatAgain · 15/12/2022 10:38

I dont wear eyeliner but even if it was a different colour I would of tried it, but black.......

MissHavershamReturns · 15/12/2022 10:56

I would have preferred very dark brown

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 15/12/2022 11:18

Yes, the Stila one we got last year was gorgeous, I used it all up! I'd have loved that again rather than black. But other than that I've been really pleased with the contents so far.

TokyoSushi · 15/12/2022 11:20

Perfect for me, a staple that I've just run out of!

Agree the Stila eyeliner last week was lovely.

Still waiting for the big ticket item. The Emma Hardie cleansing balm last year was amazing, I don't think we've had anything as good as that this year... Does anybody know if there's anything particularly exciting still to come?

TokyoSushi · 15/12/2022 11:20

Last year!

TokyoSushi · 15/12/2022 11:23

I've just looked at the list, actually there are still some good things to come!

CordeliaNaismithVorkosigan · 15/12/2022 16:54

Not thrilled with today's, I can't apply eyeliner and even if I do get it on right in the first place, I rub my eyes and look like a hungover panda. If anyone wants this or the lipstick, DM me - no need to swap anything.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 15/12/2022 17:41

I also wish that M&S would put a different colour eyeliner in.

ApolloandDaphne · 15/12/2022 18:29

I love the eyeliner. I was needing a new black one. I've just bought a new brown one.

happyharpy78 · 15/12/2022 18:50

I'll never wear this, I too would have preferred a different softer colour

listsandbudgets · 15/12/2022 19:20

I dont use make up at all so told my dd (17) she could have any make up items. She's very happy with today's offering and she's had the lipstick as well. I do not use hair mousse so she got that too.

Overall I've been very happy so far with contents this year but we are 15 days in and only just half way to Β£300. Will they do it? Either way a bargain

CardiCorgi · 15/12/2022 21:45

I'm going to ask a stupid question about the eyeliner: do you use a pencil sharpener with it? It looks a bit like the lipstick, but doesn't seem to twist up, so I'm assuming the answer is yes.
I need a black one for a skating performance (make-up code is unsubtle), so it will be used.

GetUsedToTheHeatAgain · 16/12/2022 04:50

Day 16 here, not to sure about this?Have used other products by this brand and have always been made in Europe but this is made in China I am always suspect of cosmetics made in China (like the lipstick).

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 16/12/2022 07:33

I like this one, I've used it before.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 16/12/2022 08:42

I got a This Works In Transit Camera Close Up recently in a John Lewis beauty box & I've only tried it once & it seems ok. It reminds me of Elemis Pro Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm which I'v used before & liked.

Looked on the This Works website about their claims on animal cruelty
& PETA has them accredited as cruelty free.

Posted too soon. But it does make you wonder with products being made in China.

Countmeout · 16/12/2022 09:13

Well I’m interested to try this.

notanicepersonapparently · 16/12/2022 14:50

A This Works In Transit Camera Close in the calendar today. I’ve not tried this before but it is an all in one moisturiser and primer. This size would be Β£13 bringing the running total to Β£165.

AnnieSnap · 16/12/2022 17:03

I love This Works products generally (having been introduced to them in last years M&S AC). I bought the full size of Transit Camera Close Up expecting to like it, but I didn’t πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Now that I have even more of it, I guess I’ll try it again.

I'm still hoping for foot cream and a sheet mask!

IloveJudgeJudy · 16/12/2022 20:26
