Find shear butter slides off my hands, bit to moisturising for the climate I live in!

CointreauVersial · 13/12/2022 12:52

I adore everything L'Occitane produce, and their handcreams are the BEST! I disagree with the person who said it's just a boring commodity - if you get a good one that soaks in, smells divine and leaves your hands like silk, it's a treat.

Happy with yesterday's shower gel - I actually have a bottle of this on the go at the moment.

To everyone who says they don't have time to sit about for 20 minutes pre-shower with Elastisizer on their hair - have you tried putting it on the night before? I VERY lightly moisten the lengths of my hair with water, rub in Elastisizer then twist into a topknot to sleep in. Works a charm.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 13/12/2022 17:52

That's a really good idea re the Elasticizer @CointreauVersial I will try that.

I love L'Occitane handcreams they are the best I've tried. I always use the Lavender one at night, have a mini one in my handbag & one downstairs to use. It's currently Rose & Jasmine.
Their foot cream is fab too.

For a cheaper alternative I also like The Bodyshop & M&S handcreams.
Elemis & Cowshed though expensive are good too & Neal's Yard.

I think I like handcream 😂

CordeliaNaismithVorkosigan · 13/12/2022 21:28

I’m chuffed with today’s, my hands always go scaly in winter and good hand cream really helps. I realised when I opened yesterday’s that I still have a bottle from last year - must use it up.

Countmeout · 14/12/2022 07:17

Good size and I always take this on holiday.

Thunderpunt · 14/12/2022 07:33

Really dislike todays brand, every year we get something and I try it and still dislike it. This will be donated somewhere for definite (did someone say we can donate stuff to food banks?)

TheBelmont · 14/12/2022 08:09

I’m keen to give it a go. I got some of the hair serum from this brand in the summer box and thought it was very nice

Me too - it’s the scent - makes me feel 🤮
Plus I definitely don’t need to add any volume to my hair!

notanicepersonapparently · 14/12/2022 08:12

Today’s product is Percy & Reed Turn up the Volume Volumising Mousse, 100ml. I’ve not tried this before or any hair mousse since the 1980s) This costs £10.50 from the Percy and Reed site bringing our total to date to £141.

ApolloandDaphne · 14/12/2022 08:24

I love todays mousse as it is the perfect size for my toilet bag!

Neversaygoodbye · 14/12/2022 08:24

I've got very fine flat hair so will look forward to trying this out.

grosvenorgirl · 14/12/2022 08:42

This is one of the things I've been desperate to try out with my fine flat hair, so if anyone doesn't need theirs I'd be very happy to swap for something they would like. Smile

CointreauVersial · 14/12/2022 08:54

First big "dud" of the advent calendar for me - I haven't used mousse for years, so this will be passed on.

I do like some of the Percy & Reed products and have a bottle of their Hair Oil on the go at the moment, which I use every time I wash my hair. I quite like the smell, although it certainly isn't subtle!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 14/12/2022 09:09

I don't use hair mousse so this will be a swap. Though it is a nice big size.

LizzieSiddal · 14/12/2022 09:12

I have short hair so this isn’t useful.

I also realised this morning I hadn’t opened either no 6 or 9. I was very excited but it’s a peach lipstick which will not suit me I don’t think. I always think blond and blue eyed for peach where’s I’m dark brown eyes and hair.

TokyoSushi · 14/12/2022 10:10

This and the peach lipstick are the only No items for me so far, roll on tomorrow!

cyrila · 14/12/2022 11:38

Very happy with today's. I've liked this brand when we've had it in the past. I've liked almost everything so far.

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 14/12/2022 12:17

Looking forward to trying this now I've had confirmed it Curly Girl Method friendly!

Torteela · 14/12/2022 14:13

I finally feel seen this year. Years and years of smoothing, glossing, oil products and now for the first time ever, products for fine hair are getting a look in!

RoxieLoxy · 14/12/2022 22:26

I'm really pleased with today's. I always try to add volume to my hair and this gets really good reviews.

Thanks for the updates on the total value @notanicepersonapparently. I felt a bit guilty buying it initially as I bought it on a whim (it was the last one in the entire store so needed to make a quick decision) - but it's obviously amazing value already.

MissHavershamReturns · 14/12/2022 22:27

@Torteela snap! I love all the hair products

GetUsedToTheHeatAgain · 15/12/2022 02:48

I have not tried the hair product before and would not pay £10.50 for a mouse, but I struggle to get hair products here so very welcome!

No 15 today, is an absolute no from me dont use this product at all will give it away

TheBelmont · 15/12/2022 06:27

Oh I was expecting today to be a dud based on that comment but I’m quite pleased with it! Hit for me!

Neversaygoodbye · 15/12/2022 07:36

I do wish they'd at least branch out and put in a different colour for todays product, so boring. My least favourite so far.

Ditto. I have enough black to revive the goth movement!
