I'm hoping others will join me to discuss liberty advent calendar. In line with other threads 0700 earliest for the days contents?

I'll definitely be re purchasing the mascara

RudolfsLeftToe · 20/12/2022 22:29

I’m going to re buy the votary cream, mascara, lipstick and cold cream. Oh and all the hair products, I have so much hair so it’s been a great calendar for me. I love the miracle oil but it doesn’t love me so will give to someone else to enjoy.

EasterIssland · 20/12/2022 23:37

I tried today the roll on for relaxing. It’s going in my work bag. They stress me too much :)

HundredMilesAnHour · 21/12/2022 05:45

I know it's not 7am yet (I'm up early for the gym and 'had to' open today's drawer as motivation lol) so no spoilers from me but I'm very happy with today's contents!

Talisin · 21/12/2022 05:47

Well todays promises a lot. I’ll try it today and we shall see.

Polpette · 21/12/2022 06:02

Good morning fellow early birds.

Agree about today's. It's a brand I've heard a lot about and a product I really should be using but it's always the last thing on my mind. Am looking forward to trying.

ofCourseYouHave · 21/12/2022 06:24

Oooh I'm intrigued now, but I'm too cosy in bed to get out and have a look at my calendar

RockingAmadeus · 21/12/2022 06:51

Not heard of this brand but it’s something I’ve been wanting to try. Very pleased.

Toomanylosthours · 21/12/2022 07:01

I'm intrigued now and considering moving from under the warmth of my duvet. Yesterday was a fabulous day, not only was I pleased with the draw, I was super happy with the drop box that arrived

EasterIssland · 21/12/2022 07:12

Never heard about this or the product

WeAreBorg · 21/12/2022 07:54

Ooh I got the blusher from this brand in my Space NK calendar last year - I use it daily and it’s still going strong so very excited about todays!

LizardTrucks · 21/12/2022 07:57

I guess I’m in the minority but this holds absolutely no interest for me. Not something I (unfortunately) need

WeAreBorg · 21/12/2022 07:58

Tried the Zelens last night - agree it’s a bit tacky and gave me a weird matte finish. I’m thinking - new plan - use in it in summer where it will combat my sweaty face

notanicepersonapparently · 21/12/2022 08:00

Rose Inc Brow renew travel size worth £9 in todays calendar. I currently use a Mac brow gel which is running low so this one will be very useful.
The running total is £739. I’m going to double check my adding up today as that seems a bit low given we are supposed to reach £1,000 in the next four days.

purplelicious · 21/12/2022 08:14

Good product to try but shame it's not a full size. We haven't had many full size products.

laclochette · 21/12/2022 08:26

I wonder if the issue is that smaller sizes of products don't usually retail at a directly proportionate size to their larger versions - there are always economies of scale. For example, a 160g Diptique candle costs £54; a 70g size costs £33. So the smaller one is 44% of the size of the larger one but 61% of the price. Per gram/ml, smaller sizes are more expensive - this goes for most things like perfume etc too. Makes it really hard to know how Liberty is costing up product sizes that aren't retailed...

Talisin · 21/12/2022 08:30

Well I’ve used todays. I see absolutely no difference so presumably my brows are not in need of taming. I am however relieved that it hasn’t given me that shiny plastic brow look.

Yes I think this is part of it - the cold cream has a 30ml size at cult beauty which retails for more than the per ml price on the larger size. I’m happy with most things, checked the contents before I bought so I knew I would be able to use them. Tomorrow is looking good!

I didn't think it was over £1000 of value, I thought it was something like £800ish...

Todays is a bit of a dud for me. It's not tamed my wayward old lady brows in the slightest!

TriciaMcMillan · 21/12/2022 08:45

I'm not sure about this. Admittedly through a series of illnesses, I've missed my regular scheduled waxing, so maybe it's asking too much of any product until they're back under control. Might give this a proper go post my brow revival on Saturday...

Also intrigued if/how they're going to hit the advertised total at this stage.

Apologies, you're absolutely right. It's advertised as £1065 worth of products.

AprilLady · 21/12/2022 09:23

I did a price breakdown before purchasing - went back to my spreadsheet and for the items so far I get c£760, so very close to @notanicepersonapparently ’s total.

Without wishing to spoil the surprise, I think at least one of the remaining 4 drawers must have more than one product, as I am still expecting to get to a total of c£1000.

notanicepersonapparently · 21/12/2022 09:28

Thanks @AprilLady It’s good to know I’m not way out.

Blossomtoes · 21/12/2022 09:54

That’s gone in the bin. My eyebrows are a work of fiction that I draw on each day so it’s entirely redundant. Such a shame when this brand has such fantastic products, I have the blusher too and it’s excellent.

H1Drangea · 21/12/2022 10:15

My old lady brows had a bit of a shock this morning ( they usually get an odd tweeze , never a brush )
note to self , use this stuff , it’s worth it !
