I'm hoping others will join me to discuss liberty advent calendar. In line with other threads 0700 earliest for the days contents?

Another good day. It looks as if Liberty saved the best til last.

notanicepersonapparently · 20/12/2022 07:40

Zelens emulsion D fortifying moisturiser 30ml is worth £39, bringing the total to £730.
Ive not tried it before but moisturiser will always get used.

Hadenough2022 · 20/12/2022 07:45

Thank you for the totals. Must be a good few last drawers to get up to the advertised total

HundredMilesAnHour · 20/12/2022 08:10

Curious about today's as I've seen the brand around but it's never stood out. In fact it's always looked a bit cheap but clearly not at £39 for 30ml. That's why I love this thread! I really am loving both the thread and this year's calendar.

wheresmyshoe · 20/12/2022 08:27

I'm happy to see today's, I love trying different moisturisers. I have the Zelens cleanser from a beauty drop or GWP and I love it.

purplelicious · 20/12/2022 08:44

Today's looks good, though I'm hoping it's not going to be a light moisturiser as I personally need something for drier skin, especially this time of year. I adore the Davines hair oil, the face oil and Venn serum - wish I didn't love the Venn as much as I do though...due to the cost of it 😳

notanicepersonapparently · 20/12/2022 09:23

I’ve been using a few other products for the last few days, and went back to the Venn this morning. It’s bloody lovely.

purplelicious · 20/12/2022 09:28

@notanicepersonapparently - it certainly is. I've been using it night and day since we got it and have seen a difference. I might have to save up for another 🤔

LizardTrucks · 20/12/2022 09:40

Used yesterday’s cold cream as a cleanser and then as a mask. Have to say I prefer it as a mask, it absorbs very quickly and made my skin feel lovely. I then put some oil over it for night time.
Happy with today’s as I need new moisturiser. Tried it this morning, skin feels good.

UglyModernWindows · 20/12/2022 10:34

I was intrigued to try the Seated Queen cold cream last night. I rubbed it all over my face, not eyes as had no eye make up on anyway. I used a face muslin (run under a fairly hot tap) to remove it. Skin felt lovely afterwards, not too tight. The smell was slightly too strong for me though so I doubt I'll re-purchase this one.

Next I used a toner, then applied SR eye cream (love it) followed by the Venn serum and a very thin layer of Miracle Oil on top of it. My skin tingled a bit at first but felt and looked great this morning.

I also tried the Trish McEvoy mascara this morning the first time and really liked it. The thin, delicate wand worked well on my fair and sparse lashes. Easy to build up layers which made my eyes look amazing. This will be a re-purchase even though I usually don't spend much on mascaras.

UglyModernWindows · 20/12/2022 10:37

Oh and I also tried the bath oil this morning too! Sorry I can't remember which PP it was who recommended to rub it over the dry body and then jump into a warm shower but thanks to the tip who ever it was 😀Using a bath oil this way would have never occurred to me but it was lovely and made the bathroom smell heavenly.

wheresmyshoe · 20/12/2022 10:56

I wore the Trish McEvoy mascara last night. This is 100% a repurchase. I even used it on my lower lashes, zero smudging/transfer and it's so delicate that I didn't look like a doll. Great product.

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 20/12/2022 11:08

For posters who haven't used a flannel and warm water to remove cleanser before I can thoroughly recommend this method - and for removing masks - for the "spa" feel you get too. It's really soothing although I probably have the water a teeny bit too hot Grin

It's basically what hot cloth cleansing.

pepperaunt · 20/12/2022 12:54

I used the Seated Queen cold cream as an overnight mask and I’m quite pleased with it in that capacity. Sunk in quickly and left my skin soft, not spotty, in the morning.

look forward to trying the Zelens moisturiser, though it sounds like it might be more for summer (for me)

WeAreBorg · 20/12/2022 13:03

hang on. Is the Venn a serum or a moisturiser? I’ve been using it every day but also using a serum under it then the oil afterwards. It’s great whatever it’s meant to be

excited about the moisturiser today - hoping it’s thick enough to use at night as that’s what I’m missing atm

purplelicious · 20/12/2022 13:09

@WeAreBorg - I am using it as a serum and moisturiser some mornings ( when it's colder, I add a bit of additional moisturiser but my skin is dry). I use it with a night cream on top in the evening. It's marketed as an all in one I believe? I still however, use the oil underneath it all. I know we all said oil should go on top, but I do like it underneath and it feels better for me😊

WeAreBorg · 20/12/2022 13:14

@purplelicious thanks! that makes sense

yes I’m in the process of adjusting to oil going on last. I feel like my whole world has been turned upside down. I definitely think I look better than I usually would at this time of year though

Blossomtoes · 20/12/2022 13:42

I like oil first too and I won’t be changing that. I used today’s moisturiser this morning and it’s lovely, I like it better than The Votery one.

AnneShirleysNewDress · 20/12/2022 16:38

I'm also using the face oil first. The venn all in 1 is fantastic. I can see why it's so pricey.

TriciaMcMillan · 20/12/2022 17:21

Interested to try the moisturiser but agree the Venn is hands down the best thing so far. My skin looks dewy and feels fabulous as soon as it goes on.

Polpette · 20/12/2022 17:34

The Zelens moisturiser has left my face feeling really sticky, it's very odd. Did anyone else have this reaction? I'll give it another go tomorrow.

Agree with everyone raving about the mascara, I love it. Stays on all day but also comes off really easily. A definite repurchase.

UglyModernWindows · 20/12/2022 19:19

@Polpette Yes, my skin felt little tacky after the Zelens moisturiser. I’ll use it up and see how I get on but I doubt it’ll be a re-purchase.

Polpette · 20/12/2022 19:27

@UglyModernWindows glad it's not just me, was worried I'd done something odd. I'll give it a good shot, if it works miracles I'll put up with the tackiness otherwise it's a definite pass.

My repurchase list at the moment is: Venn, miracle oil, mascara, lip balm and the shade of lipstick but will be looking for a different brand.

TabithaTittlemouse · 20/12/2022 20:11

The votary night cream has made my skin feel quite tight, I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing!

TabithaTittlemouse · 20/12/2022 20:48

I’m such an idiot. It’s not a night cream 😂
