I'm hoping others will join me to discuss liberty advent calendar. In line with other threads 0700 earliest for the days contents?

So many serums! If one of the aims of the calendar is for people to like the contents so much that they purchase the full size items isn’t this an own goal?

Seeing as I’m only ever going to use one serum type product each day I think I now have enough serums for at least a year, and so won’t be buying any of the advent calendar serums, however great they might be.

I’m not sure that’s the aim of the calendar although it might have that effect if you really love a product you wouldn’t have otherwise tried. The thing is all the serums - we’re up to four now, I think - have different functions and today’s is only for night use. Retinol scares me and I’ve never used it. I’ll give it a cautious try now.

Little bit nervous of todays - not tried retinol before think I will save for the New Year - I've found this brands products brilliant in the past so will definitely give it a go. Appreciating the running daily total too Smile

WeAreBorg · 18/12/2022 19:56

Looking forward to trying tonight’s retinol. Not sure if I still need an spf when I won’t see daylight tomorrow though…

I like having about 300 serums going at any one time, makes me feel Scientific. Todays serum was great, although a friend handed me a card for her aesthetics business but I’m hoping that was unrelated

imp2007 · 19/12/2022 07:53

Todays smells lovely - like a spa. Expecting a super busy day at work today so will look forward to a little pamper with this tonight. Just tried the good C for the first time this morning feels quite warm on my skin.

LizardTrucks · 19/12/2022 08:12

Pleased with today’s, was saying yesterday I could do with a cleanser. The smell is beautiful too. Seems like we’re into the serious stuff now!

Lotsofpots · 19/12/2022 08:28

I use this already and it is heavenly. Very pleased.

notanicepersonapparently · 19/12/2022 08:41

The Seated Queen cold cream looks like a useful product. It says it can be used as a cleanser and night mask and it smells nice too. It’s not expensive though. (I realise that’s a relative terms when it comes to Liberty products). £12 for 30ml, bringing the total to £691.

EasterIssland · 19/12/2022 09:05

Do you just leave it on overnight ?

countdowntonap · 19/12/2022 09:26

Was anyone else’s drawer labelled 9 again today? I had two 9s and no 19

Scooopsahoy · 19/12/2022 09:43

I’ve never used a cold cream before. Do you use it at night instead of a moisturiser?

TriciaMcMillan · 19/12/2022 09:53

I didn't know they still did cold cream, reminds me of my mum preparing for bed in the 80s! So can also be used as a cleanser?

TabithaTittlemouse · 19/12/2022 11:30

Happy with today’s although I’ll wait until I’ve finished with my current cleanser.

Blossomtoes · 19/12/2022 11:35

This is lovely. I can’t wait to slap it on tonight. I strongly suspect this is going to be something I buy when it runs out.

pepperaunt · 19/12/2022 14:42

Agreed cold cream reminds me of my mum in the 70’s. May try it as an overnight mask.

AnneShirleysNewDress · 19/12/2022 17:59

This is my current cleanser of choice after getting it in a CB box. Happy to have more as it's nearly done and I was about to repurchase.

marmiteadict · 19/12/2022 19:19

Not entirely thrilled by a cold cream cleanser but if people have tried it and would repurchase I'll give it a go

AdelaideRo · 19/12/2022 19:45

I'm excited about todays. I need a new cleanser. In fact I need a cleanser I love as I've had a series of bad reactions to them and am stuck with Toleraine and an oil based one (currently beauty pie) as safe products.

This one sounds like it might work, or it might have too many essential oils in it.

My standout products so far have been the perfume which I'll definitely buy, the Venn concentrate and the Vit C serum. I also liked the lipstick but thought the packaging is so annoying it would put me off repurchase. WTF design a lipstick that doesn't retract.

WeAreBorg · 19/12/2022 20:31

I was also just thinking I needed a cleanser as they’re so boring to buy and I’d never bother with a fancy one.
for those that already use this, can you just wash it off or does it make a difference using a cloth? If so I’ll hunt out the muslins

Polpette · 19/12/2022 22:09

You'll definitely need a cloth to get the cold cream off, it's very thick.

Agree about the lipstick, nice colour but the packaging lets it down, it just doesn't feel luxurious enough.

Yeknom · 19/12/2022 22:33

If I use todays as an overnight mask, does it just soak in or do you need to wash it off in the morning?

WeAreBorg · 19/12/2022 23:05

@Polpette thank you, I don’t know why I never believe instructions

EasterIssland · 19/12/2022 23:50

Does the cream smell quite minty ? Just used it and it’s quite thick!

can anyone recommend cloths to remove the cleansers ? I normally just wash my face but I know some say to use a damp cloth. Thanks !

I use a flannel and warm water.

Talisin · 20/12/2022 05:38

Not madly interesting today but I’ve never heard of the brand. Hoping it’s not a can’t live without product as it’s very expensive for what it is.

EasterIssland · 20/12/2022 07:35

This is what I was here for. Moisturiser :)
