Liberty advent calendar opening thread 2022

I'm hoping others will join me to discuss liberty advent calendar. In line with other threads 0700 earliest for the days contents?

I have used the scary serum this morning, no adverse effects to report so far. I quite liked the smell tbh

Happy with todays item. I won't use it straight away as I've got a couple on the go already. My skin does look lovely from all of my new products

The bath oil is amazing! It smells gorgeous!

What are people thinking that they would repurchase so far (if money were no object)?
I would go for face oil and the perfume. I like all of the other products but those two really stand out.

I'm a bit panicked about today's. I'm not sure this would be the time to test it, last thing I need is to be spotty for party season. Is it a purging thing and you need to wait it out, or does it just not work for some?

@TabithaTittlemouse so far, I’d definitely repurchase the face oil and the Sunday Riley cream. The cream doesn’t surprise me as I have loved other products from them but the oil does!

I really like the Venn concentrate, my skin is absolutely loving it. Also the Sunday Riley eye cream with both of them on and makeup and I feel flipping good 😊

I already use the Sunday Riley eye cream (I also recommend her eye retinol cream!) and the Trish McEvoy mascara so will obviously continue with them anyway. Same with the Larry King hair styling creme. But I also quite like the Venn cream so may consider buying that (will make a decision after using it for longer). I haven't tried everything yet though (partly because I'm not a fan of serums).

Does anyone else subscribe to the beauty box? I've just seen someone say they keep their bank all year and spend it on the calendar. Sorry if this is obvious to others but hadn't occurred to me.

I had a bad experience with retinol in February when I burnt my face. There’s a thread about it on here somewhere. I got some fantastic advice and my skin recovered. I’m surprisingly keen to give it another go, but only once a week to start off.
it’s one of the big ticket items at £72 bringing the total to £679.

I'm pleased with today because I really like Dr Sebagh (I use their moisturisers and masks) and their retinol is highly rated. But I'm also a little disappointed because ARGH NO MORE SERUMS PLEASE!!!

I can appreciate that this is a great one today (and I know it's another serum, but a night one this time at least) but I use skin and me so won't be using this.

If anyone wants it and is interested in a swap or covering postage, let me know!

I'm really keen to try the night serum but don't want to risk a bad reaction just before Christmas. I'm probably going to start out by only using every other night, and just a small amount at first.

I used the skin resurfacer this morning under my make up. It looks great.

So many serums! If one of the aims of the calendar is for people to like the contents so much that they purchase the full size items isn’t this an own goal?

Seeing as I’m only ever going to use one serum type product each day I think I now have enough serums for at least a year, and so won’t be buying any of the advent calendar serums, however great they might be.
