I'm hoping others will join me to discuss liberty advent calendar. In line with other threads 0700 earliest for the days contents?

I tried the lipstick this afternoon and it looked really good as a polished everyday look, definitely very wearable.

Talisin · 17/12/2022 05:39

Slightly alarming sounding product today!

EasterIssland · 17/12/2022 07:39

Another serum. I think I’ve collected too many with two advent calendars so I assume this is the cheapest so I might give it to my sister

notanicepersonapparently · 17/12/2022 08:07

I’m here to help you make that decision EasterIssland. The (Malin+Goetz) resurfacing face serum 30ml is full size and sells for £58 bringing the total to date to £607.
it does indeed sound rather alarming although the Liberty website says it’s fine for those with sensitive skin. I might hold of trying it until I read how someone else gets on with it.

Thanks I got the Barbara one as well I think on this calendar and I think space nk has got a few as well. I’m not sure I’m a big fan of this brand I didn’t like one of their creams that was given in the Liberty box drop

purplelicious · 17/12/2022 08:30

Sadly I'll have to give this to my son....it's not really for sensitive skins and glycolic acid always, always, brings me out in tiny red spots 😢. I avoid it like the plague. Hopefully tomorrow it's back on track.

bravelittletiger · 17/12/2022 08:39

Another good day for me today- I just love all the skincare! Think I've become obsessed with skincare in my old age!

imp2007 · 17/12/2022 08:43

I'm loving all the skincare too can definitely see the difference. Going to hold off trying todays though and stick with the collagen serum for now. I think one serum at a time is enough for me! Still loving the miracle oil that's a definite repurchase.

countdowntonap · 17/12/2022 09:00

@bravelittletiger me too! I always ask for new skincare products to try every Christmas and birthday. My collection is ridiculous.
@notanicepersonapparently thank you for the £££ updates

bravelittletiger · 17/12/2022 09:04

@imp2007 I'm loving the oil too! I also love the Sunday Riley eye cream (but I already love all her stuff so no surprises there) and the Votary cream and Venn cream although those two I probably don't love enough to buy again. I've been using the vitamin c serum too as I had just run out and that's been lovely.

Having been very sceptical about all the haircare I used the sam McKnight mask this morning because I have a wedding today and my hair does feel lovely and soft and smell great.

After a few dud days I'm feeling really positive about the calendar again- it will be on my Christmas list next year for sure!

TabithaTittlemouse · 17/12/2022 09:46

I’m excited to try today’s!
I need to work out how to each product in my routine!

My face is sensitive too so I might skip this one and put it straight in the stocking-fillers box!

TragicMuse · 17/12/2022 10:26

It looks like a great product though!

WorryMcGee · 17/12/2022 10:28

Ooh why have I only just found this thread!

I’m a bit scared of todays 😬 Favourites so far have been the lipstick (I was so surprised when I tried that on!), the Sunday Riley and Venn creams, and the miracle oil which is not something I would ever have put on my face usually but it’s incredible. I’m almost halfway through chemo, my 8 month old is teething and cold weather destroys my skin at the best of times yet that stuff has actually made me look like a living human being 🤯 even DH asked to try some 😂

I was a bit sad about all the hair stuff as mine is shedding (I’m cold capping but still losing hair and have to be careful with it) but I tried the Sam McKnight mask yesterday and its lovely. I can’t use heat and it usually looks terrible when air dried but actually after that mask it has dried presentable enough to wear loose. I may buy again to get me through this stage (if I keep enough hair!)

Buildingthefuture · 17/12/2022 10:44

@notanicepersonapparently I come on here mainly to read your posts. You are the Liberty Calendar oracle! Smile

AprilLady · 17/12/2022 10:51

@WorryMcGee sorry to hear you are going through such a tough time. Hopefully the calendar is bringing you some joy.

The review’s say today’s smells really bad but works well - love to know if anyone has tried it.

notanicepersonapparently · 17/12/2022 11:05

I’m glad so many of you are liking the price/value updates. I may be a retired accountant 😀

notanicepersonapparently · 17/12/2022 11:11

@WorryMcGee Your favourites seem to have gone down well with many of us on this thread. Wishing you all the best with your treatment Flowers

TabithaTittlemouse · 17/12/2022 11:13

@WorryMcGee bless you, it sounds like you really need a treat! I agree about the oil!

@notanicepersonapparently they’re really helpful! I love that you are a retired accountant 😂

Pleaseandthankyou · 17/12/2022 11:29

@WorryMcGee I hope you find plenty more to things to enjoy 💐. Whoever suggested using the Bath oil in the shower is a genius. I put some on my hands and inhaled then rubbed in of my chest as directed. My en-suite and bedroom (and me) all smell like an upmarket spa. I never have a bath and I have a few unused bath oils sitting around.

TabithaTittlemouse · 17/12/2022 12:29

@Pleaseandthankyou that sounds amazing!

My boiler has packed up (again! Twice in a week!) so looking forward to hot water to use all of the beautiful bath products! I’m not sure a flannel wash with bath oil would be the same!

wheresmyshoe · 17/12/2022 12:31

I never knew what was causing this! It's only happened since I started using Glow Tonic, I didn't twig it might be a sensitivity to one of the acids. Tiny pin prick red spots.

Blossomtoes · 17/12/2022 12:36

The collagen serum is my favourite so far - of course it is, it’s £££! I’m now keeping it for special occasions when I want my skin to look its absolute best. Great tip re the bath oil in the shower. Thank you @Pleaseandthankyou

WeAreBorg · 17/12/2022 13:13

@notanicepersonapparently thank you once again for the totting up!

@WorryMcGee sounds like you have a lot going on, hope the chemo isn’t too awful x

I liked the M&G cream in the last drop box and I am willing to the the scary serum Guinea pig - it’ll have to be tomorrow though as I’ve already put on the Venn, the collagen and the vit C one and probably a few others, ah yes also the oil

forgot to try the bath oil in the shower too but I’ve been meaning to

Sneakyblinders · 17/12/2022 13:44

How do you apply the eye cream and when? Sorry for the stupid question!

I wonder if anything works in here for a hangover!
