I'm hoping others will join me to discuss liberty advent calendar. In line with other threads 0700 earliest for the days contents?

Same brand? Not in mine 🤔. They are both very lovely though.

I've had a bit of a bumper day today as I caved and bought the LF calendar late on then felt guilt and stuffed all the things from that one into the Liberty drawers so it looked like I only had one calendar. Today's was a big drawer so 4 extra items in it 😬

countdowntonap · 14/12/2022 07:04

Hmm. I’m a bit worried about the mascara as I’m sure I used one like this a few years ago and made me lose some lashes. I’ll wait until a few of you recommend it Grin

marmiteadict · 14/12/2022 07:05

No they are not the same brand.

countdowntonap · 14/12/2022 07:09

Also, mascara seems to be another ‘out of stock’ product. The link on the QR advent takes you to a different one.
More old stock being shifted?

Polpette · 14/12/2022 07:16

I wonder if they just don't restock product in the usual way as they know people won't be buying as much when it's in the advent calendar? Hopefully this is the reason rather than shifting old stock.

WonkyFeelings · 14/12/2022 07:35

Oh BOLLOCKS, you’ve all made me realize I opened #24 instead of #14. Facepalm.

Yeknom · 14/12/2022 07:37

Love todays drawer of joy! I've never used a collagen serum before so looking forward to giving it a whirl! Any usage tips?

Talisin · 14/12/2022 07:50

Ha Ha! This is what happens when I’m up at way too early o’clock - I can’t even read the products properly.

bravelittletiger · 14/12/2022 07:57

Today is a good day!

notanicepersonapparently · 14/12/2022 08:28

Today’s drawer contained QMS Advanced Collagen serum in oil 10ml which would be worth £68 based on the price of the full size one, and we also got Trish McEvoy High Volume Mascara in black selling for £22.50. I’m very pleased with these. I’ve not tried a Collagen serum so that will be interesting, and I’m sure my Mac mascara must be about to run out so this will be handy. Our total value to date has risen to £451.

EasterIssland · 14/12/2022 08:35

I only realised I had the collagen. Dammit I have to go downstairs to check the mascara which I won’t use as I’ve fake eyelashes :)

It’s not out of stock.

@notanicepersonapparently - thanks for the updates every day on the costs, it's nice to know and shows we've still got quite a way to go ( I think they said the total amount was worth over £1000 but I might be mistaken).

Cinnamonandcoal · 14/12/2022 08:49

Intrigued by the mascara, it's a very thin tube and brush whereas other ones I've used have fat brushes. But it has great reviews so hopefully it will be a winner.
Serum seems fine, anyone know what a collagen serum does as opposed to any other? I think I still have serums from last year I haven't opened yet, maybe I should be using more as they seem to last me absolutely ages.

No, it definitely isn't old stock. It's a great mascara. I regularly buy this one. Love it! I've been using Trish make-up for almost 30 years but it's not well known in the UK (although on a par with Bobbi Brown etc in the US).

purplelicious · 14/12/2022 09:16

Please can anyone tell me how best to remove mascaras with warm water? I've always avoided them, since buying one a few years back and just not coping very well with the removal Blush took me bloomin' ages and I just got into a mess. I ended up soaking cotton pads in warm water instead...is that how you do it?

TabithaTittlemouse · 14/12/2022 09:47

I needed a new mascara and love the brand.
looking forward to trying the collagen.

notanicepersonapparently · 14/12/2022 09:51

@purplelicious I’m pleased you are liking the value updates. £1,065 sticks in my mind as the value it was advertised as having. I’ve got the M&S calendar too so I’m doing the updates on that one as well. Another poster is doing the JL one too. It will be interesting to see how they all pan out.

ofCourseYouHave · 14/12/2022 10:07

I only had the serum unfortunately :( I'll have to contact liberty.
I'm appreciative of the price updates too.

I'm like this ... I'm blind as a bat without my glasses but come downstairs without them with a romanticised idea of drinking my cuppa alone next to the twinkling tree lights while opening my calendar. Then remember I can't read the packaging Grin

Thanks from me too for doing this, it's nice to see it tallying up!

Blossomtoes · 14/12/2022 10:43

Just used the serum. I genuinely wish it wasn’t so good, bearing in mind the price. Unfortunately I love it. 🥲

Use a flannel and plenty of warm water imo. You need some kind of cloth but a flannel much better than a make up wipe

purplelicious · 14/12/2022 10:56

@PosiePerkinPootleFlump - Thankyou,I will give that a go....hadn't thought of a flannel or a cloth. Sounds a lot easier Grin
