And I would so love to know who is now agreeing what tiaras and associated bling the royal Ladies get to wear. I'd really love to know all the details of how they are removed from (I assume) the vault deep in the bowels of Buck Pal and delivered to the individuals wearing them as they are all dressed up for photographers snatching a preview as the guests are driven in. It must involve a lot of coordinating security.

New gowns might be a bit tone deaf. A seamstress could work wonders with alterations to suit. And of course lots of Preloved bling. I'd love to see queen Mary's pearls etc get an airing. Didn't Max wear those waist things stomachers? Dig them out ladies 💝

Kate could repeat either her ice-blue (though not her best colour) or green gowns from the Caribbean tour. The pink one is probably not formal enough. Though it might be a bit chilly in the palace for sleeveless or off the shoulder dresses.

Not a royal wedding but Joe Biden's granddaughter got married at the White House over the weekend. Some lovely photos to look at while we are waiting for the state banquet!

The BBC News website has an interesting article with an introduction about Naomi Biden, but then goes on to show many of the other brides who have married at The White House with some lovely old photos.

As the now Prince and Princess of Wales William and Kate may be given South African orders as part of the State Visit (not a problem they’ve had to grapple with before!) so that may well make things more complicated. The Queen’s SA Order of Good Hope sash was green and gold which would probably rule out an ice blue dress, but the green strapless one from the Caribbean could be in the running. Anyway, we’ll wait and see - I think Charles will almost certainly be given the order but others might not…

I’d love to see Camilla in Queen Victoria’s Oriental Ruby Circlet, but the rubies might not work with SA’s colours.

Oh and I see from the internet that Charlene of Monaco was wearing a wide black belt over her long white dress when she left the palace on National Day but somehow in the car journey between there and the church it broke, so she just kept calm, removed it, and doubtless had a good laugh later over all the WTF?? Responses to her outfit. 🤣
