Leather jeans & a subtle Christmas jumper probably.

Lwren · 27/10/2022 19:41

I worry I'll get dead sweaty in leather jeans but I do love them!

I love hearing what everyone wears for Christmas.
I'll be wearing this recent BNWT bargain from Vinted

RingofBrodgar · 27/10/2022 20:53

I will be wearing this dress from m and s:

TheDarrellRivers · 27/10/2022 20:56

@RingofBrodgar that’s beautiful

RingofBrodgar · 27/10/2022 21:54

Thanks @TheDarrellRivers. I love that Bombshell dress of yours!

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 27/10/2022 21:59

Oh god, are we the only family that spend the day in PJs or comfies?

We usually go for 'lounge wear'.

TheDarrellRivers · 27/10/2022 22:03

@RingofBrodgar 😃

LemonsAndCherries · 27/10/2022 22:07

I'm ashamed to say jeans and a jsmart crochet style umper, I like to be comfortable!

My mum has always dressed up and until I hit around 35 I did too. Then, I realised I always felt stuffy and wanted to be able to sit comfortably on the floor playing with the kids. I don't think I'll go back to being dressed up ever!

No! PJs or something along those lines here too. Can't be doing with ''dressing up''

TwinsAndTiramisu · 27/10/2022 22:11

I used to look fab. Then had DTwins and with covid making the last few years a non event, have looked a right mess to be honest.

Determined to look better this year, although looking dressy and glam whilst on the floor with DTwins and not roasting myself while I cook dinner is a tough one.

What do others wear with multiple young DC and also in charge of cooking?

We do too, comfort every time!

ReginaPerrin · 27/10/2022 22:31

@SliceOfCakeCupOfTea I’m definitely staying in my PJs this year!

If I had guests or was visiting someone on Christmas Day, I’d probably wear a slouchy dress and boots, or a long-line jumper and leggings - I want to be comfortable and have plenty of room for all those roast potatoes and Quality Street!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 27/10/2022 22:45

I got this dress the other day for a Christmas dinner thing with ex colleagues, so will probably wear it with opaque tights, DM Church boots, and a chunky Arket cardigan:

(DP’s cooking!)

Thanks @Dingalingo - I am so pleased with it!

Lwren · 28/10/2022 17:13

I want something pretty but comfy so I'll be doing loungewear to I think 😂

I love getting dressed up for Christmas. My no one choice is a jumper dress. I will only wear this in my cold rural house or my mums cold victorian house! My mil's house is way to hot with the heating cranked up high. 😂

aliceinshackles · 29/10/2022 12:10

I'm working Xmas day 12 hour shift.
We have been allowed to dress up, naked below the elbow ,so Xmas day I'm an elf, including hat with elf ears!
Our Xmas day is on Boxing Day , it will be jeans and a comfy top.

RaraRachael · 29/10/2022 12:21

Same as I wear every other day - jeans and a sweatshirt or jumper. I've never understood why people dress up for Christmas day in their own house - different if you're going out for a meal,.

ladygindiva · 29/10/2022 12:24

I've treated myself to a dusky lavender coloured tulle maxi skirt which I fell in love with. On hunt for a silver or grey or pastel soft fine knit clingy jumper to wear with, it's my birthday late November so will ask for it for then.

CaronPoivre · 29/10/2022 12:25

A suitably seasonal dress. Probably my green velvet, but might go with my red Bombshell one. Nothing new.

Peridot1 · 29/10/2022 12:30

I like to be comfortable but to also feel a bit dressed up. Couldn’t imagine staying in pjs. Even if I’m sick I get dressed. Leggings and a comfy top but I’d still get dressed.

No idea what to wear this year. I’ve lost weight this year and am two sizes smaller than last year so could justify something new but want to lose more so don’t want anything expensive.

Same thing I wear every other day of the year...jeans, t-shirt, hoodie and trainers.

I hate dressing up. I feel so uncomfortable and self conscious.

Hello sister! We'd be best friends!

I can sense it. 😉
