@AuntieEntity I'll report back on quality, fit and feel when it arrives.

Gymnopedie · 05/11/2022 16:34

This skirt with black turtle neck, black opaques and ankle boots and a fair few (pretend) gold chains.

mathanxiety · 05/11/2022 18:53

Black sparkly Tshirt with faded blue jeans. The apartment gets hot with a roast dinner cooking.

mathanxiety · 05/11/2022 18:54

@GreenBlueSea - Love it Grin

KittenCatt · 06/11/2022 00:33

A Christmas jumper with jeans, for me!

LilyGlobe · 06/11/2022 05:39

I usually wear a Christmas themed dress - last year was black with gold reindeer but I’m going to wear This skirt with a Christmas jumper this year.

Rina66 · 06/11/2022 06:00

M & S sequin midaxi skirt, black roll neck, black stretchy boots and red sequin antler ears with silver tiara....

Do people really wear boots in the house?

dudsville · 06/11/2022 08:24

I have this. It's cotton, very comfortable and can be layered. I love it so much!

@RampantIvy - I presume the ones with boots in their plan are going to do something like go to church or pub before lunch / to a restaurant for lunch and so need a full outfit.

LimeCheesecake · 06/11/2022 09:11

Oh don’t know what I’m wearing on Christmas Day as I still don’t know the plans - which is making me twitchy. Not sure if it’s just me, dh and the dcs (in which case I’ll wear jeans and one of my nice thin jumpers), or if we’ll have possibly my brother and his husband, possibly my parents too, and at some point we need to see the in laws who usually are organised about who’s seeing who but can’t work out post covid whos turn it is. (As we are going to see everyone at some point over Christmas, I think I’d rather cook for everyone and have a massive Christmas Day, then be able to chill for the rest of the school holidays)

RampantIvy · 06/11/2022 09:22

It will just be us three as per usual, but I still like to make an effort. It makes the day feel more special.

That is awesome! I love a tiara. I had a milestone birthday this year and I told DH that I really wanted a tiara. I got one and I wore it all day.

I'll be in a ski helmet on Christmas day but I'm now off to google to see if I can get something similar to go atop it.

Your outfit sounds gorgeous.

Rina66 · 06/11/2022 10:37

Ah thank you @RhubarbFairy, I love a topical headband, always wear bunny ears at Easter too 😂I'm smiling thinking of you in a ski helmet with something similar to the tiara antlers on top!

BatshitCrazyWoman · 06/11/2022 10:53

I'm also uncertain about Christmas plans this year, and feeling twitchy. If it's 3 or 4 of us then a black satin pleated skirt and black sequin jumper. If it's just me and the cat, jeans and a jumper and a whole box of Lindt truffles on the sofa!

Post Boxing Day I'll be with my chap, so may reprise the skirt/sequin jumper outfit for Christmas lunch #2 on one of the days.

EloiseInOz · 07/11/2022 01:34

A massive maxi dress with optional belt - like this www.delrainbowstore.com/products/deiji-studios-totem-dress-olive-micro-check

It is likely to be hot so need to factor in keeping cool as well as tummy space. I am hoping this should have it covered!

VeganGordie · 08/11/2022 14:52

wow this dress is gorgeous! love it

RampantIvy · 08/11/2022 18:25

Not ideal for a Yorkshire Christmas, sadly.
I also think you need to be tall and slim to wear it.

silverclock222 · 08/11/2022 18:26

Jeans and a suitably naff christmas top.

Parky04 · 08/11/2022 18:41

Something with a stretchy waistband!

ladypink1 · 21/11/2022 20:49

pjs staying at home all day drinking the day away

ThankYouVeryMuchGerry · 21/11/2022 21:00

Xmas Eve, Christmas jumper and jeans.

Xmas Day, black velvet joggers (look much better than they sound!), with a sparkly cream top and Christmas heels (until the visitors are settled in and then change into flats)

user44478673 · 21/11/2022 21:13

How the heck do people wearing all this sparkly stuff and £200 dresses not end up with it all reeking of gravy and with tsunamis of spuddy greasy washing up water down the front after 5 hours cooking, eating and washing up?

user1487194234 · 21/11/2022 21:28

I wear a tracksuit until the cooking is done

RosesAndHellebores · 21/11/2022 21:39

@user44478673 I wear a pinny and do most of the prep the day before. It's only a roast and nowadays we are never more than 7.
