@Ameanstreakamilewide you bet~!

I know exactly what you mean about feeling uncomfortable getting dressed up. I don't loaf about in PJs or "loungewear" as they called in nowadays but always something I'm comfortable in.

My sister would phone the doctor if I wore lounge wear on Christmas Day 🤣
Will be wearing black velvet dress with heels x

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 29/10/2022 13:08

This velvet jumpsuit with a cosy knit cardigan too. Got it on vinted for £4 😁. Looks fancy but has an elasticated waist

Walking trousers in the morning for a good 6 mile walk.
We always eat out about 4, so probably trousers and a top. I don't wear dresses, skirts or sparkles

Absolutely.

Comfort is for every day, not just for Christmas. 👍

Boden tulle navy maxi skirt. It's huge and fabulous. With a nice T shirt.

nootsy · 29/10/2022 13:48

I like an elasticated waist at xmas. may go for a smart coord set that looks like pjs

nootsy · 29/10/2022 13:53

Same as I wear every other day - jeans and a sweatshirt or jumper. I've never understood why people dress up for Christmas day in their own house - different if you're going out for a meal,.

I enjoy wearing dressy attire in fine fabrics, jewelry, pretty shoes, etc. as do many people. It's not a dreaded chore.

Personally I dress for how I feel so they could easily mean sequins at home & a sweatshirt when out for dinner

RaraRachael · 29/10/2022 14:28

@ZeldaWillTellYourFortune it would be a chore for me 🤣

That sounds fabulous. I've fallen in love with a bought a froofy tulle skirt in purple, I'm not sure what to team it with.

I'm meeting new family this year so I have no idea what the dress code will be. I've also lost weight so don't have much that fits well. I will have to buy something.

I am thinking about it much too much

Oh god, are we the only family that spend the day in PJs or comfies?

We usually go for 'lounge wear'.

Us too. We always had to look smart as children, then we spent many years staying with family at Christmas so had to be dressed. Ever since we started spending Christmas at home, neither DH nor the DC have got dressed at all. I tend to throw on loungewear just before lunch as I sitting down to lunch without a bra on felt a step too far. We all shower and put fresh pjs on before bed that night.

This year will be different. We'll be in base layers and salopettes as we're skiing over Christmas. Still comfies when we're done though.

Parmesam · 29/10/2022 20:22

Jeans and a Christmas jumper. Slippers.

DH wears his loungewear whilst cooking the dinner because of cooking stains.

DD will be like me, jumper and jeans. Or pyjamas.

HermioneWeasley · 29/10/2022 20:24

A red dress approximately the same size and shape as a circus tent, and some black leggings

comfort all the way

HippeePrincess · 29/10/2022 20:27

I’ve just bought some super soft and cosy maternity joggers and hoodie/loungewear so I imagine that unless we get invited anywhere, in which case it’ll be whatever fits, probably leggings.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 29/10/2022 20:37

A dress of some sort with an apron. The only day of the year that I wear both.

Mymoneydontjigglejiggle · 29/10/2022 20:39

Festive leggings and a Christmas jumper, although I'm going to ask DH to buy me a Christmas themed t shirt for my stocking as we are going to PIL and they always crank their heating to the max - I thought I was going to faint last year so I doubt my jumper will be on for long!

roarfeckingroarr · 29/10/2022 20:42

Can anyone suggest anything for me? I'll be 36 weeks pregnant but still want something nice.

GladysPew · 29/10/2022 22:36

One shoulder one piece brick red swimsuit. Spending Chriatmas Day on the beach in The Canaries.
