The perfume really reminds me of something but I can’t put my finger on it.

Bubblegum?

Margaritawithlime · 19/10/2022 07:21

@canina 😁fine with me. Which would you like? DM me.
i tried the primer and I LOVE it. Went online and it’s not there! Agh! I have money in the account to spend Liberty take it!!

canina · 19/10/2022 08:14

@Henddraig I'm getting parma violets

Luvacuppatea2 · 19/10/2022 08:15

Well, I’ve just had a Beauty Drop indulgent start to the day. Shower gel first - not my favourite NI fragrance (that honour goes to Willow Song) but perfectly fine. Swipe of the Votary toner. - not sure this did anything, but maybe it’s culumative? On with the M+G moisturiser- nice enough, but not sure it will be a repurchase , and finally the primer @Blossomtoes i have to confess that this had gone on and looks much better then I expected! My skin definitely looks smoother. Putting on a bit of foundation soon, so I’ll see how that goes over it, but (surprisingly) impressed so far. Hand cream feels nice enough, though I’m a bit unsure about the smell - it’s a little overpowering in not a good way. Finally a spray of the Moon Carnival. Still love this, though I’m not sure it’s a ‘first thing in the morning’ fragrance, for me anyway. It’s quite heady. Anyway, that’s my box ‘trialed’. Have enjoyed using all the stuff - just a bit sad that all the excitement of the box arriving yesterday is now over …..

CeeceeBloomingdale · 19/10/2022 08:17

I'm really pleased with the box, it's my third and the best one yet for me. Except the blue eyeliner, not sure about that. Can someone who has opened theirs upload a pic of it on the back of their hand please? I don't want to open it if I won't use it, I'd rather pass it on.

Wagsandclaws · 19/10/2022 08:31

This is my second box, I loved the perfume ( so much so that I used my £40 towards a bottle £120 )

The green eyeliner I could use I think, hand cream is useful, noble isle I don't usually like but that was a nice fresh smell.

Primer, I'll give it a go today, moisturiser again the same.

I'm a votary fan too so will look forward to trying that out later on.

All in all a nice box I thought Smile

hellololabells2019 · 19/10/2022 08:57

@Wagsandclaws is that offer still live?

viques · 19/10/2022 09:02

Typing with my eyes shut so I don’t spot any spoilers! Had the email, they said Tuesday, yodel tracking said out for delivery, then said I was scheduled for an afternoon or evening drop, then said package was back at the depot. Where it still is apparently. Grrrr.

I am not a happy bunny, dd coming over tonight so we can unbox and share out the goodies, I am out most of this morning so just hope yodel manage to deliver this pm.

BurningTheToast · 19/10/2022 09:03

Because I'm an insomniac and am eager to get my hands on my box when Yodel deign to turn up with it, I ended up browsing Liberty's site last night calculating the actual value of the box's contents.

I couldn't check the price of the glitter pen as it's not on the Liberty but it doesn't seem to have been a popular inclusion and the manufacturer's website is down. Maybe a tenner to be generous?

The rest of it - toner, perfume, handcream, moisturiser, primer, shower gel - adds up to a value of just over £40. Say £50 with the glitter pen.

So not bad, considering that it's free if you are happy to spend £20 per month in Liberty, which I am, especially given that we also get free delivery throughout the shop. For example, this year I've bought a candle, an Emma Bridgewater mug for my mum's birthday and a couple of Christmas baubles (because I always visit their Christmas shop and can't this year). The rest went towards my advent calendar.

purplelicious · 19/10/2022 09:07

I'm overall pleased with my first box and also as it's 'free' it was a nice dip into the world of Liberty Beauty. The hand cream texture was really nice and straight away I noticed how it sank in quickly and left my hands soft, though I do agree about the smell, though I'm sure I'll get used to it ( I hope!) I'd be tempted to try other fragrances in the future of this hancream. I'm going to try the primer today and am spurred on now by others who say it's good. The perfume is nice, though a little too flowery for me. I really liked the toner. Will put the moisturiser in my holiday toilet bag...I am ashamed to say I've binned the liner. Mine was black - I tried it on the back of my hand and it just slipped into a grey blurr very quickly with no effort with theses tiny specks of glitter., not my thing, I think it would have been better and more versatile in another colour like some of you received. I'm more of a fine pencil, black felt tip girl.

BeaLola · 19/10/2022 10:40

Have been reading the online blog bit about the box - according to them the votary toner “(you’ll see a difference after only one use),”

😀

Lyn29 · 19/10/2022 10:44

I'm not that excited about this box, I think this my least favourite one out of all of them but I'm always excited to try and find out about new products out there. If anyone wants to swap the primer, perfume, eyeliner and hand cream for the toner and face cream let me know? Everything has been untouched but the eyeliner I did try on the back of my hand. Message me if interested Grin

Branster · 19/10/2022 11:17

Just about starting to understand the concept of this Liberty Beauty Drop.
May I please ask a question.
As you 'bank' the £20/month, in a year you accumulate £240. If after 1 year I want to buy something that costs £250, can I use the banked £240 and pay the £10 difference with my own debit card? Or is it like Boots points where you can't top up points value with cash - for ex., in Boots if I have £10 worth of points, I can only use them to make a purchase up to £10 and I can't buy a product worth £12 by using £10 Boots points plus £2 from my debit card. Made up example, but I hope it makes sense.

I'm thinking if I start the Beauty Drop now, I might be willing to buy the Liberty advent calendar next year with the bonus of receiving 4 beauty boxes for 'free between now and then.

TabithaTittlemouse · 19/10/2022 11:27

@Branster yes you can. I’m quite impatient so regularly use say £20 banked money and then pay the extra.

TabithaTittlemouse · 19/10/2022 11:28

The primer is gorgeous! Very watery compared to my usual so nearly lost it!

Thank you!
I suspect I'll be impatient too :)

plantingandpotting · 19/10/2022 12:52

I like everything well enough, but have the most doubts on my green eye pen - blue or black would have been more useful.

Very jelly of the PP who got both!

The perfume is up my strasse, but has faded to almost nothing since I spritzed my wrists this morning. Did rub them together though - apparently you're not meant to!?

Faciadipasta · 19/10/2022 12:59

I really really like the perfume. I'm actually considering sticking it on my Christmas wish list. Wearing it today and it's a lovely sunny warm day and it was just perfect.

blitzen · 19/10/2022 14:36

Boppertini · 17/10/2022 13:39

Anyone else pondering if they’ll keep going with the beauty drop or not?
Hoping for a great box that will remove my doubts.
As long as the boxes are quite good, it’s okay value for me I think - I mainly buy things I could find cheaper elsewhere, but with some vouchers and the free delivery it works out okay. Would be great value if you wanted to buy Liberty specific items though.
I didn’t really enjoy the last box with the REN tonic - it’s not the type of product I’m looking to explore from Liberty so fingers crossed for this one!

Yes, me, totally. I had originally joined to save up for the advent calendar but I just didn't fancy it when I saw the contents. So I've got £200 or so to spend. I really loved the box this week though!

I got the black one but was also wondering. I've just found this video on YouTube of a lady swatching and testing them out

doublecleansed · 19/10/2022 16:42

Liberty beauty crackers are on sale now - £14 each. I bought a couple using my credit, the sleep one (for a present) and the make-up one (for me!). Wasn't fussed by the skincare one.

MidnightConstellation · 19/10/2022 16:57

I would like the green pencil and possibly the black one if someone wants to get rid of theirs! Please PM me if so.

Tibtab · 19/10/2022 17:06

I tried the green pencil as I love the colour, it’s such a shame that it just doesn’t last! The texture is too creamy so it just smudges everywhere.

Thank you, I didn't think to look there! The blue doesn't look as scary as I feared

Twinsandsome · 19/10/2022 17:35

Okay so I used the toner last night and again this morning and then the primer below my make up this morning and it could just be a coincidence but when I dropped my girls to the childminder this morning she said “ohh I see x slept through for you last night after all” which was unexpected then leaving work this evening I was walking to the car with colleague who said have you changed make up you look really well today? Not sure if I just happen to look less shit today or what the craic is!!
