Princess of Wales wore self portrait dress tonight I think

I think the vintage fur thing is tricky. The animal is long dead so maybe the best tribute to it is to wear it.
A friend inherited a beaver skin coat from her Grandmother. I can't tell you how soft and glossy that fur was, with a beautiful silk lining. It would be a crime not to wear it.
I guess if questioned one could always brush it off as fake...

I see the Princess of Wales was wearing the beautiful choker again tonight. Was it a gift from The Queen or is it in the Royal collection? Whichever way she's definitely made it her own now. And the lovely earrings.

The necklace and earrings definitely belonged to HMQ - whether a direct gift or part of the royal collection on loan to her? Who knows.
She looks lovely, and I like Camilla's outfit too.

Why is Kate going all out with the poppies? Is there a reason she's wearing three?

She does that from time to time (if not every time). HMQ used to wear more than one, and often quite a few, too.

About time we saw some proper bling... and as lovely as they are pleeeease, show us some pieces we've not seen for a while. 😉

Kate's three poppies are said to be in remembrance of family members, possibly great-uncles. Her Maj used to wear at least four or five!

Interesting. Thought she'd got herself a tux jacket and was wearing a Boden tulle skirt. Really like that.
I really dislike that choker though. It's so unflattering with the great big hole in the middle.

I think last night's dress is a black 'hybrid' version of these two. I like it better in the black with the satin lapels. Thought she looked lovely.

My money is on a rewear black coat today.

It's an "odd" dress as it looks more like a jacket and tulle skirt. There's no zip at the back - how do you get into it ? Pull it down over your head ?
I prefer a more e flouncy tulle skirt. Kate's is just hanging a bit limply but flouncy tulle wouldn't be suitable for the occasion.

Anyone else love the "big jumper over a tulle skirt" look ?

Favourite outfit of mine ever was a pale pink strapless satin bodice dress with pink tulle skirt I wore to a "dinner dance".
Loved it.

Ohhh I like it! Although I agree, it’d be even better with lots of tulle! Although might have looked too celebratory...

That's another half an hour I've lost but what an eclectic mix of styles and colours - definitely a few that Kate must already have in her basket and several that I'd love to see her wear but almost certainly never will.

@LadyEloise1 ooh I used to love a long tulle skirt, big jumper (or short leather jacket) worn with DM boots back in the '80's.

Oh I like it a lot. I think if I were Kate I’d stop at 10. That means you can switch through quite a few without repeating too often. But if I actually were Kate I’ve got to be honest and say I probably wouldn’t stop at 10...because I love fashion, and I absolutely adore a beautiful coat!
