I hope we can have some fabulous winter fashion and tiara events!

I think it looks best when it’s a non-black leather, very supple and worn only as a skirt. Leti and Meghan both wore one well.

There's only one way to wear a leather dress

I still slightly lust after that green leather skirt that Meghan wore not too long after they married, with a green silk shirt I think. It looked lovely.

I have the shirt but have never been able to find a skirt like the green leather one.

I like the pencil skirts very much but am not sure about any of the leather dresses.

Max has worn two lovely outfits today as the Italian state visit continues. The blue look is beautifully co-ordinated, and I absolutely love the Cartier tutti frutti necklace she has - it is stunning! (Definitely claiming it for myself!).

Lovely pictures of Max although I'm smiling at the 'glove on, glove off' second picture.

Hopefully this archive link works - The Telegraph has kindly reviewed the fashion in "The Crown" against the real thing. I can't believe Charles wore his summer suits plus TIE whilst cruising on the Med! 😂

After feeling a bit dubious at first, I'm really enjoying this series and the fashion is just gorgeous. I love the silk dresses Diana wore and also the oversized jumpers.

Max looks fab in her scarlet gown! It has several similarities to the Dior scarlet gown in the Princess Grace exhibition pictured earlier in the thread, and I mentioned there that Max would look super in that style.

Could Max be following our thread?

I really love Max in her elegant powder blue outfit, total perfection from head to toe. That would make a gorgeous mother of the bride outfit.

I see the irrepressible Lady Glenconner, Princess Margaret's Lady in Waiting, has brought out a new memoir, "Whatever Next".

That reminds me that I have Lady G's first book on my kindle and need to finish it!

I read an extract from her new book and she reveals that her husband was abusive. She doesn't state it explicitly in the first but you certainly get that impression.

Ooh that sounds interesting. Loved her book. What a colourful life she's led. Not one I'd have wanted to be fair.

Hello is reporting an event attended by Princess Alexandra's glamorous granddaughters, Zenouska Mowatt and Flora Vesterberg. I think Zenouska looks gorgeous here, and both women are very stylish.

The Danish Royal Household reunited today to celebrate Daisy.

The Danish media is saying that Princess Marie sent a message of affection and appreciation for the Queen, by wearing the commemorative brooch that Georg Jensen designed for her Jubilee. I tend to agree. Apparently there were big cheers from the public for Joachim and Marie when they appeared.

I absolutely love that black cape trimmed with grey. It's fabulous.

I presume it is real fur.

I think there’s plenty of affection there and I’m sure they’ll get through it in the end. Although...maybe MIL has a favourite DIL! That would not be good.

I hope it isn't real fur trim - fake fur is obviously so much more ethical and I think more chic these days.

Oh I think it’ll be real. I don’t know how it is now but at least 20 odd years ago lots of people still wore real fur in Scandinavia. Culturally people don’t like being told what they can and cannot do.

I think Daisy’s said that she wouldn’t buy new furs but she’s not going to stop wearing the ones she has.
