Evening Royal Style fans!
I hope we can have some fabulous winter fashion and tiara events!

I had a sneaky watch of episode 1 at lunchtime... it really is taking me back to all the Hello magazine Diana fashion spreads I used to pore over as a child 🥰

A rare fail for Kate, I generally love what she wears, even the coat dresses!
Hair, makeup, skin all absolutely gorgeous though xx

The neckline of the dress is completely wrong with the coat, and as for the shoes they really don’t go at all, she needs something chunkier to match the heaviness of the coat but boots would have looked better, like in this picture she looked much more stylish.

A friend wears Desigual she looks good in it. Do any of the royals??

I actually think Kate looks good today! I like that style of coat and monochrome dressing seems to be quite in fashion atm. But I would've gone for a contrasting bag and shoe, or boots instead of stilettos.

I love Sophie but I'm on the fence about the leather pinafore dress

I really like the coat (the too big/oversize thing is intentional, I’m sure). I also like the jumper dress. I know what she was going for, but I just can’t stand it when monochrome isn’t done right and IMO this wasn’t done right. If you’re not careful it ends up looking like you don’t understand colours. The bag just didn’t work. But mostly the shoes just ruined it for me.

I always feel so harsh and mean when I criticise, because I like Kate a lot, she seems so genuine and lovely. And of course even on a less than ideal outfit day she always looks beautiful and well put together.

I agree with pp and think that colour blocking is great if done well, I don't think Kate's look is great today, just a little off. She has many green coats, as well we know - perhaps a stronger emerald may have been better.
Sophie's worn that pinafore before, but I'm not a fan of leather dresses, especially the shiny type.

And the photo of the Dutch Royal Family is great; Lovely autumn shades that all tie in nicely together. Max’s outfit is gorgeous and the coat is a dream. Love it.

I like green but can’t get on board with Kate’s look today. Too many shades that just don’t quite work together and the shoes are the nail in the coffin. Sorry Kate.
I don’t like Sophie’s outfit either. She’s worn that dress before with a black top underneath, and I didn’t like it then either. It’s too tight, too high necked and much too shiny.
Arrgh.

Oh Sophie NO! That leather dress isn't bad in itself but it's so tight you can see the entire outline of her bra. I think you need to be tall and willowy to carry it off so maybe she should lend it to Kate!

The '90's horror of that leather dress - I remember well when you wore a leather tunic with a long sleeved top. Extra points if it was tight to look like a cool lead singer of an indie band...
Leti is a great royal example of how to look super chic in leather. She generally sticks to skirts though.

Ack Sophie, that is just not working. It’s way too tight (the bra lines!) and the wrong length, and with those tights and boots… nooooo.

It must be like wearing a sofa!? 🥵

I'm not a fan of any of Leti's leather dresses, and she has a few, but I think they're looser and possibly less shiny. It's a very difficult thing to wear imo.
