Thanks everyone! Yes, I must get my tiara out of storage - it will go nicely with my earrings while I’m building flat pack furniture 😂

Poor Amalia, that’s such a shame for her.

It's sad that all of the younger royals can't have a short time to just be a student and enjoy that little bit of independence.

William went to uni, as did Beatrice and Eugenie I think. Louise has been working in a garden centre and is off to uni soon.

Harry joined the army and served in Afghanistan.
Andrew was in the navy.
Even the late queen lived a "normal" life in Malta when she was a newly wed.

I have ordered something from The House of Bruar, I am going to pretend I am minor royalty when I wear it.

If it's the cashmere beanies, they are gorgeous.
Of course, if you want to look "very county", you'd have to go for the felt trilby in brown or green, but I imagine you're happy to settle for warm, pretty and on trend 😉😂

I bought a little charcoal grey merino sweater from HoB this very day!

I have gone for a boiled wool coat in the sale, I am a sucker for green cIothing. I must admit the knitwear looked lovely.

There are so many styles of cashmere hat that I don't know which one to go for!!

Camilla looked elegant in black lace when she presented the Booker Prize last night, though sadly (for me) she had left her pearls at home.

Letizia and Felipe are on a state visit to Germany and she looks fabulous in this red Stella McCartney gown. No tiara but her earrings are immense!

The Court Jeweller features the beautiful Meiji tiara belonging to Empress Michiko. She looks very elegant in the white dress, I think.

Lovely pictures of Michiko. The women from the Japanese imperial family often look as though they are from an earlier time rather than the 21st century, but always very elegant.

There are some wonderful photos of Michiko all gowned and tiaraed up in her youth but the women of the Imperial family seem to dress more conservatively now.

They've mastered the art of anti-ageing though. Masako and Crown Princess Kiko are pushing 60 but still look in their forties!

Those photos of Empress Michiko have just opened up a new royal style rabbithole for me. I'm ashamed to say I was vaguely aware that Japan still had an imperial family, but nothing beyond that. Fascinating that they wear western formal dress sometimes! I wonder when that started? The motorcade is a very British touch too.

She looks absolutely perfect in that tiara and white cape dress. I really can't fault it. drool 😁

Oooh, just realised I could nab that Meiji Tiara, unless anyone else already has?! (And wants to share, ahem!)

I love the Meiji tiara, beautiful. Leti looks very elegant there, she really didn’t need tiara with those earrings! I like her hair there too, she’s still going natural.
