A sad start to a new thread, but I hope we can celebrate the legacy of Elizabeth Regina, what a woman, and what style!

I wonder if she ever saw the Schaf’s naughty finger! That clip of his face makes me laugh and laugh!

oopsy

I bet if she saw it she had a cheeky wee giggle ☺️

Maireas · 17/09/2022 14:19

I imagine Anne, Camilla and Sophie will kick off their shoes and sit down with a massive sigh of relief on Monday.

All of them sitting in a row on the Royal sofa with their feet in the Royal footbaths. G&T on the side. 😃

gluenotsoup · 17/09/2022 17:10

Flaked out with Royal cucumbers on their eyes. 😂

justasking111 · 17/09/2022 18:01

Teapot to sofa, put on an old movie and sleep 😴😴

justasking111 · 17/09/2022 18:03

This is a lovely picture. They're both so happy and gorgeous! I love her dress as well.

Very emotional watching the grandchildren's vigil. They're all beautifully turned out.

Very emotional watching the grandchildren's vigil. They're all beautifully turned out.

I have watched hours of the footage on tv and this is the one thing that has turned me into a blubbering. wreck.

They were amazing, especially James and Louise. The girls/ladies looked beautiful.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 17/09/2022 18:20

They did so well.

Sophie’s face. She was breaking for her bairns but she should be proud. They did their grandma proud. So composed.

As did the rest of them who are more accustomed to being in the public eye.

My heart is breaking for them.

paradyning · 17/09/2022 18:23

Oh Sophie looked like she could bearly take a breath in worry. They did so well especially the younger ones.
And the ladies looked beautiful.
Can't believe Zara managed it in those stilettos.
Her drop pearls were stunning. Very Tudor jn profile.

oldtableleg · 17/09/2022 18:42

bloody hell they did well - Sophie looked like she held her breath the whole time, her kids are so young.

They all looked wonderful - Zara was pretty much perfect (dailyfail have a great shot of the earrings (in the car with Harry)). Love Bea's dress & shoes. So much harder to march/stand still in heels than the men in boots!

Maireas · 17/09/2022 18:50

James did well, he's still a young lad, and not used to the limelight.

And a lovely picture of Queen Elizabeth with Beatrice and Eugenie alongside their message to Grannie.

The grandchildren did amazing & were all beautifully turned out.
Although the older ones are in their 40s & 30s they all looked so much younger today even Louise & James.

It must have been so hard for them today.

On a lighter note Paddington the movie is about to start on BBC 1 & they've just put the Queen & PB marmalade sandwich sketch on with the film to follow.

Actually it's just started whilst I was writing this

lovely tribute by Beatrice and Eugenie to their Grannie

gluenotsoup · 17/09/2022 20:09

They all did so well, it was really emotional just watching it. Sophie was watching over her children like a hawk, it must have been hard for her to see them do that.
They all looked just right. Zara looked beautiful, she has such strong bone structure.
I was struck by how much James looked like William in profile, and the picture of the D of E above is very like Peter Phillips.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 17/09/2022 20:32

Mid

Their tribute is quite quite lovely.

The wee picture of them holding hands at the floral tribute is testament to their love and their source of strength for one another.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 17/09/2022 20:38

Zara’s earrings were stunning. She is very beautiful.

StartupRepair · 17/09/2022 22:42

Loved how the women all wore black headbands.

CliffsofMohair · 18/09/2022 00:27

Lovely tribute to HMQ from Beatrice and Eugenie. I’m feeling quite emotional as the lying in state draws to an end.

NiqueNique · 18/09/2022 10:09

Oh my goodness...just had my first look at the wedding and Delphine’s outfit...

The shoes! That hat.

MotherofPearl · 18/09/2022 10:10

I thought the grandchildren all looked amazing at their vigil yesterday evening. Zara in particular looked beautiful.

I know what you mean, Cliffs. I've watched a bit of the live stream and have had it on in the background for a few days. The reality that this is the last we'll see of HMQ, so to speak, has really hit me today, knowing it's the last day of the lying in state.
