Not sure what thread number we are up to here but ALL ABOARD if you get JOY from buying and trying beauty products!!!

We sometimes enable but we also share out thoughts, support one another and generally share our love of beauty consumerism!

Hi sorry to jump on this thread but I see some familiar names from the beauty advent thread and wonder do any of you know is there a new thread? Xx

Not yet I don't think

A few more empties.

Ritual of Mehr foaming shower gel - got this in a summer box. Love a shower foam and really liked this scent, fresh and citrussy. Would repurchase if I didn't have lots of shower gel, soap etc. to use up already. I am tempted to get one of the rituals advent calendars after using this.

Beauty Pie triple hyaluronic acid eye serum - liked the texture and the tube lasted ages. Would happily use again but I'm trying to streamline my products (at least until I destash some) so I am just going to use my PM eye cream as AM and PM instead of having separates.

Ovvio Magic Citrano Body Oil - this came from a LiB box ages ago. This smelt amazing but I'm just not a big body oil fan. Ended up using the second half as a bath oil and it was lovely. Think I'm converted to Bath oils now (usually a bomb or bubbles gal) so give me any recommendations please 🙂

My favourite bath oils are oilverum and ren rose. Both are a bit spendy but so nice. I've noticed my skin is so much better when i don't use soaps and bubble baths but oils and emollient washes.

A cheaper thing I sometimes do is stick in some almond oil (health food shop or amazon) with some perfume that I still like but don't really use any more or samples.

BryceQuinlanTheFirst · 23/09/2022 17:28

Has anyone seen Naturium is coming to Space Nk. Quite keen to try this brand, doesn't seem stupidly overpriced (looking at you Stella and Kate Moss 😒)

Buster27 · 24/09/2022 14:46

@Zeeza Thanks, will check those out Smile The almond oil tip might actually be perfect for me just now as I seem to have plenty of perfume but barely make a dent in it. Will need to check which still smell ok first Blush

living proof shampoo and conditioner

just had a small sample and my hair is amazing in on it. No frizz, totally smooth, not greasy or weighted down.

  • *i don't need any shampoo or conditioner. .....but if I did do you reckon its one of those shampoos that is great the first time but gets progressively greasier as it builds up on my fine hair?

Anyone know?

ren magnesium and sea shower gel

a little bottle that must be five years old. Smells so very lovely. But I think that soaps dry my skin too much. So enjoyed, but won't rebuy. Mayelbe the bath oil with the same scent. * *

Emma Hardie cleansing balm. It did the job but smells awful. Wouldn't rp.

Lumene skin tint. Recently finished the medium. This is the dark. I mix the two to get the right shade. Absolutely love this. I have rp'd.

Sukin rosehip oil. I really like this. It's not excessively greasy and my skin seems to like it.

Ah the EH is my Holy Grail cleanser, I love the smell and I've tried to find others I like as much but just can't. Love the Sukin Rosehip too.

Just shows we're all different.

I haven’t found a balm that I find works as well as an oil cleanser. (There are bajillions of those to choose from!) I will admit that balms are a hell of a lot less messy to travel with though.

PomRuns · 26/09/2022 12:47

I use an oil then a cleanser. Maybe I don’t need both. Currently using a suoer facialist oil which was £6 and really rare it.

KittyCatsby · 26/09/2022 16:30

So much thrown out today I forgot to log it all.
About 18 months of so ago went down the road of Liz Earle . Loved the cleanse & polish , would buy again , but have equally heard good things about Superdrug & Aldi equivalent so might try them. Liz Earle eyebright stung so was never used again after first use. Liz Earle toner ok , probably used a couple of times but I've never really seen the point of toner , and also a 50g of her cream in a green tube , again tried but found just ok . Surprised that it had all gone ' off ' , so was thrown.
That plus various other half pots of various things. Filled a carrier bag.

PomRuns · 26/09/2022 17:51

@KittyCatsby I really don’t think the Superdrug version is as good, currently using it. I might get a little LE to compare as a controlled trial 🤣

supadupapupascupa · 27/09/2022 08:40

Addict fail.

Liberty advent purchased

Need to get using stuff up asap!!!!!

PomRuns · 27/09/2022 08:41

Ooh how lovely @supadupapupascupa enjoy !
I’m hoping to get JL.

supadupapupascupa · 27/09/2022 08:43

My problem is that I always get M&S and I'm afraid I will seriously get caught in FOMO when the Harrods one is released. It's too much!

PomRuns · 27/09/2022 08:49

I’m also worried I’ll end up with Liberty and M&S as well. I’m down to under 50 unopened products now - so don’t want to relapse!

Experiment627 · 27/09/2022 13:19

@PomRuns which one are you using? I much prefer the Superdrug Naturally Radiant one to the Liz Earle; I really rate the Aldi Lacura pineapple one too which I currently have on the go.

~I may have boight 4 Diadermine products yesterday~

I may NOT actually but an advent this year 😱😱😱😱

Desperately trying to use up prodigieuse glitter oil.

I forgot how much I dislike it. I have about 4 mini samples. Glitter gets everywhere and I am too old

KittyCatsby · 27/09/2022 15:14

@Zeeza

Imagine the feeling of you just chucked them without using ! Go on 🙂

Zeeza · 27/09/2022 15:18

Thats crazy talk 🤣🤣

But...maybe I'm in a kerrrrr-razeeeee mood???

You are so blooming right.

I'm also going to toss the nuxe face masks. Omg. I'm incredible.

Thank you 😘

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 27/09/2022 15:44

Can I just jump in with a reminder/suggestion that at the beg of October, I'll be starting a thread to do the donations to the make up bags/kits for the womens refuge near to me? I've put small new things in a make up bag before, and included a toothbrush etc for first night in a refuge if you have left home with nothing (sadly often the case). A few people thought it was a good idea, and I'll tag some names. Obs people need to get it to me first! Obs doesn't apply to half used stuff, but stuff that doesn't appeal etc. Gets rid of the glut of make up bags (often GWP etc) as well, without stuff going to landfill. Ok, as you were! Grin
