Is this print nice or is it like a pair of old ladies curtains? If it’s relevant, I’m a fairly young MoG (44) size 10-12 & 5’6 I have long dark hair & will be tanned from holiday. I was thinking hair loose with a cream padded headband.

Completely different option is the black with a black headband or hat. The bride & groom don’t mind me wearing black as they’re not traditional at all.

Be careful with ironing silk though. You could try hanging it up and blowing it with a hairdryer… it’s surprisingly effective at removing creases.

Could you place that “in” an updo?

I’ve just spent half & hour painstakingly ironing it with an ironing cloth & it looks amazing. I just need shoes now, I thought I had some but they don’t look right.

@Offredismysister that latest dress certainly looks a whole lot nicer on you than on the model advertising it!

I also like your outfit @MercuryOnTheRise - although it is very expensive. It's very traditional MOB/MOG but I so much more prefer the first and flare style than a straight skirt, and I like the neckline too.

Using the colour wheel I think I’d go for pink, in a similar shade to the green.

That dress is beautiful on you! I prefer the headband to the hat. I'm not against hats, in fact I love a hat but that cream one looks rather old-fashioned, however the headband looks lovely. Enjoy your day OP, you will be a stunning MOG!

I am now starting panic that it will be too hot even for my dress on its own in early September.

Beautiful dress and I think the second headpiece would suit it perfectly.

Pink sandals/shoes could be good. Cream would be fine but maybe the OP wants something a bit less conventional? I don't like the sound of yellow much. Maybe a bright jade green?

I think a nude court would go well.
