Is this print nice or is it like a pair of old ladies curtains? If it’s relevant, I’m a fairly young MoG (44) size 10-12 & 5’6 I have long dark hair & will be tanned from holiday. I was thinking hair loose with a cream padded headband.

Completely different option is the black with a black headband or hat. The bride & groom don’t mind me wearing black as they’re not traditional at all.

@Pinkcadillac i do like marchesa & I like the second dress, just not the colour.

I think the first one is really nice and would be appropriate. The slit does look a bit high but could possibly be sewn closed slightly?

I can't imagine this is very well made at the price, but one shoulder styles are youthful imo.

What type of reception is it? I see the country house but is it a sit down meal followed by a DJ or something different?

Sorry, but I just don't think those jumpsuits look glam. They look cheap and garish, and as if they'd squeak every time you moved.

I also don't think a one shoulder style is at all appropriate for a M of G.

Do you having any shops near you that specialise in wedding outfits? There’s one near us and we popped in just on the off chance- absolutely amazing the ladies there have such skill at helping pick colours and styles that flatter and all their stuff is wedding appropriate- if you are in the north west the one I went to is called flamingos.

I keep staring at that green SP one. I have absolutely no excuse to even look at it, let alone buy it. It is a thing of beauty and wonder.

I think there is a wedding shop local so I will bear that in mind. I’ve also had a good look on net a porter at a few brands I wouldn’t normally have considered & there are things that I like within my budget.

I wore a pale blue chiffon number with a chiffon 'coat'.

The green SP dress is lovely. I also see a lovely navy SP dress with a white collar which I have no occasion to buy for but really wish I did! I also agree that a jumpsuit and one shoulder imho is not MoG appropriate although the woman in the green jumpsuit did look amazing.

So I ordered a cape jumpsuit & liked how the arms draped & how swishy the wide leg was . However, the rest of the fit was quite frankly indecent, so I’ve gone off the idea.

That’s what I couldn’t put my finger on about the pink, it is too little girlish. There’s also these 2 that I like. Ideally I want something that nips in at the waist as you can see from the photo I carry my weight on my hips.
