I accidentally wore double denim, then because I was rushing, I considered it and went "Nah, CBA". Yes, I am old enough to know better. No, still not bothered. There may be a special circle of Hell reserved for me (7.5a?) but I still can't bring myself to care very much. Is this is a bonus in exchange for everything heading south, rapidly? getting to a certain age? Will I start wearing purple soon, and moaning about the price of butter? Tell me your fashion things, that you're not bothered about, please. TIA.

The closest I ever get to a French tuck is arranging a lurk of belly into my big pants.

I miss my Mothercare tan sandals from the 70s. Tights like these in winter. Plain legs the rest of the year. Unless we went somewhere nice and we wore them with lace trimmed ankle socks.

Today I have been mostly wearing: blue and violet patterned kaftan. Oversized pair of husband's boxer shorts. DVT socks. Crackle-glazed Birkenstocks.

Did I leave the house? Hell, yeah!

Today I wore skinny jeans, Skechers and t-shirt from M&S. Yes, older mum in a sitcom vibe.

Ah, legs like Gandhi's are not always a blessing, my friend. Plus I have no arse. I do however, have an abdomen, so it looks like my torso has been put on backwards.
I'm also barely over 5', so the waistband of said jeans actually reaches up to my bra.

I was wondering whether I had committed any faux pas today, so I checked. I am wearing black trousers with a stretchy waistband, a burgundy top with a hole in it, dds discarded fat face hoodie which is not very clean, and proper old style trainer socks up to my ankles.

Surprisingly good score. I'm proud.

If your waistband reaches up to your bra, you will never display a builder bottom.

Everything about me jiggles that much it is a struggle keeping things happit. I love my elasticated trousers with a passion. Just the right level of grip and containment. ☺️

I think emperor purple is a lovely colour (mauve not so much) but you don’t see many clothes in that colour, which means it is due a triumphant return.

Who knew a coloured top with black trousers was naff? black on black is funereal and white and black you look like a pint of Guinness or run the risk of being asked what the specials are today.

I read on the thread on what you can’t wear that three quarter sleeves were a no no. Well, I am prepared to sally forth to style hell because to anyone not in possession of Kate Middleton arms a below-elbow sleeve is essential .

Nah. Not a fan of looking like I'm smuggling two legs of lamb - shorter sleeves mean everybody gets to see it's gym built biceps and triceps instead. And if they're looking at those and thinking 'ugh, how unfeminine, Katherine wouldn't ever have arms that big' they aren't looking at the overhang.

I do have a fundamental objection to almost every single bit of women's sportswear having at least a trim of pink, purple or mauve, though; Shopping for running shoes or a jacket can be like trying to buy a coat for a six year old in 2005.

I live in them. If I buy something with full sleeves the first thing I do is fold them back.

No more crocs for me - used to wear them in the garden but got a nasty thin nail through one and it put me off.

I wear mainly black leggings at work and a t shirt. I do have 2 purple t shirts, one has a picture of Little My from the Moomins on it.

Could never wear socks with sandals (Shudder). As far as jeans go- whatever fits, so skinnies are right out!

As for pants, well , I have incontinent pants, beat them for style!!

Hair is a greying curly mop that I hacked at myself when I got annoyed with it being too long (I put it in a very low ponytail and then cut off the ponytail). What are these "accessories" of which you speak?

I had a sort of petrol blue corduroy shoulder bag with pin badges on it (swapped for a rucksack at one point). No perfume unless you count Sure deodorant. I do wear some aluminium bangles that I don't take off (they have writing on) - no longer very shiny, bit like their wearer! 5 o'clock shadow on legs.

I do love some comfy knickers and I've completely given up on wired bras. I also love the jogger style work trousers you can now get, love me an elasticated waist.
