A perfume cupboard sounds dreamy @Mrcpy

I keep my fragrances in the dark, as I've had the top notes go on a couple of perfumes that I've kept out and in the light. The whole fragrance actually smelled sort of blunted, so it does seem to happen eventually if they're on show.

SOTD is Aramis JHL.

@Mrcpy are you me? I’ve also taken over a couple of shelves in our guest bedroom cupboard for perfume. I really like that everything is accessible - though I can’t claim I have it beautifully laid out. I do try to keep bottles in their box where possible.

I’m enjoying going through the Escentual Vanilla blind trial. Pretty sure I know what A and D are and potentially one other. At least a couple more smell very familiar, but haven’t yet been able to identify them. It’s fun trying though!

My Escentual Vanilla thingy hasn't arrived yet, I think I'll write to them.

SOTN is By the Fireplace, inspired by seeing the Scottish Highlands and a roaring fire on the news - first wearing of this autumn! 🍂

I have a perfume drawer.
It's a ful sized drawer which only houses perfume and my nice soaps.

I've also been wearing By The Fireplace @FestivelyScent. As a vanilla-hater this has really changed my mind. It's perfect to go along with the scent of autumn in the air.

I'm currently searching for a wedding fragrance and bumping up my collection in the meantime.

Speaking of cardamon fragrances my current front runner is Demain Promis by Bastille which I have a sample of, its beautifully soft and also has milky and rose notes that I'm a sucker for.

I'm also considering buying Besos by Carner as a new fresh, clean option, it has a wonderful powderiness to it that stops it from being too sharp and green.

While I'm confessing my sins I also have a bottle of Florabotanica by Balenciaga on it's way to me and a basket of 4160 samples I'm about to press 'checkout' on. I have a compulsive streak a mile long...

Welcome to the thread @SandrasAnnoyingFriend Great 4160Ts choices. Aren't the names so evocative? I ordered a sample set at the beginning of summer and found them so interesting (and found two definite loves). Perfume is just irresistible!

SOTD was L'heure Bleue, for a trip to a new hairdresser and a very busy day.

SOTN is Ambre Orient - warm, powdery comfort because I'm exhausted.

I am going to try again with my more lengthy post. If this goes though its attempt 7, at least I smelll nice while perservering.
I have been mia on this thread for a while now, and you lot even managed a while new thread since lol. I think i went into hiberantion as we have just come through what to me was quite a long winter, and i may have had fomo at everyone else wearing their summer scents.
But i did have a Christmas in July moment as of the cosmetic houses has a warehouse sale each year, and this year didnt dissapoint on the perfume side of things.

So I managed to get my hands on the whole range of Juicy Couture for my dd and I always thought that this range was more aimed for the younger generation as they are quite sweet, and they have the prettiest bottles for a dressing table. Then I spied this huge box, and there i saw another range of theirs, I think more marketed for us more mature folk. I sprayed a test of Royal Rose, and walked off as didnt take to the scent at all. I had Amber on the other arm which I also wasnt keen on, so thought no more of them. Until I got home later that day, and i kept getting the most beautiful smell of musk, so much so I could not stop smelling my arm. It was the Royale Rose which went from something awful at first spray to the scent I have worn most of the winter.I think it is so underrated. I went back the next day to get it, and on the 2nd trip they had unpacked Le Perla La Mia, which is the other scent I have been wearing a lot and I have really have to add to a current fave.
As they were all Revlon linked perfumes I also came away with half a dozen Elizabeth Arden Green Tea flankers which were all blind buys. Ive used the original for years so think I oversprayed on Mimosa (I think dd will get that one), but then Fig.... this i am not sure about but will give it a chance. It is just different from anything else I have, the first spray was not great to my nose, but the dry down was quite pleasant. I am on the fence with this one. I have 4 more to open so will have a nice little experiment on the go. Luckily I am surrounded by plenty teen girls who will happily take them
off my hands if need be. I would have regretted not taking them as they were going to for sample prices, and now we have nicer weather on the way I can get to test them all.

SOTD Demain Promis - Bastille

This is now my 3rd wear and I wasn't as keen when I first sprayed this morning but it's now deliciously warm and musty on my skin. It reminds me of damp books, in a good way. I'm fairly convinced I'll be buying the full bottle soon. I've copied the notes from Bloom if anyone is interested.

In other news I didn't really like the e coudray ambre et vanille cream cleanser and edt ☹️

So... they've both gone to mum. Something rather unpleasant in the top notes to my nose and the dry down really wasn't as lovely as you'd expect for those notes.

I've decided that I'm going to order the large bottle pp versions of eau de gucci and kayali vanilla as soon as they are back in stock.

I'll try and control myself re the 4160tuesdays 3for2 this year. They've released perfumes I didn't really like from the jjb ☹️ and tbh I don't need anything replacing just yet - my perfume drawer is rather bulging at the seams 😬

(I've got 2 bottles of Shazam! And 1 of cbyc so I should be OK for this winter 😃❄️)
