All asos today. Decided the tights were not the best idea once it started to warm up

@Sunsea21 tell me about it I have about 3 hot flushes today ( thanks endometriosis) I can't decide whether I'm hot or cold!
I've changed 3 times today because of it🙈
This morning I was wearing my blue Jean flares with my rust brown jumper with cream and black chelsea boots for the post office dash (all from warehouse about a million years ago)

Then I got home (hot hot flush 😳)
Changed to
Wrap skirt -shein
Mustard top - warehouse
Strawberry cardigan-asos

Then got too cold so changed back to rust brown jumper- warehouse (doggy wanted in on the photo action 🎬 )

@Puddinandpie Allow me to proclaim my eternal love to that stained glass door of yours. You have fantastic taste in interior design! Also you hair is very beautiful (and what a cute strawberry cardigan you have).

Thank you for your kind words ladies re office drama, there always has to be one troublemaker in every workplace, hasn’t it. I’m lucky to have management on my side though!
I’ve also been trying to get into one vacant role inside the department, so I’m anxiously waiting for the news on Friday when HR is supposed to announce internal transfers. This is a challenging role I’d love to do & also it’s a way of preventing getting transferred to any other job I wouldn’t want to do as it’s been 5 years I wasn’t transferred anywhere. I know it’s coming for me, so better try to make it happen on my terms.
I’ve only ever worked in Japan, so I’m not too familiar with what it is like in other countries, is it typical for UK companies to have internal transfers of personnel once/ several times a year, or not at all?
I remember when I entered my current company, they took a bunch of fresh graduates (and it was apparently VERY hard to be chosen, only 1 out of 100 had their application accepted) and put each of them in the department they particularly didn’t want to go to. One girl said she’s not very confident with computers, so they made her go to IT department (she’s still there and took some IT qualification, as I’ve heard). One guy said he couldn’t really speak English, so he ended up doing a job that required fluency in communicating with clients overseas. One really arrogant guy got sent to work as a shop assistant at our subsidiary for a year (he was extremely humble when he came back. Maybe too humble and too hardworking, as I once stumbled upon him having a very heavy nosebleed in the kitchen corner, with his eyes all bloodshot from lack of sleep, and I got properly scared for him). Etc. You get the idea.
So I’d really love to get my internal transfer done on my terms! And also to get away from that troublemaker that doesn’t seem to like me much (not just me tbh, she’s not very popular for a good reason).

It’s still very summery here (+30 degrees), so here’s my flowery dress with sakura necklace (old photo). Can't wait for autumn.

I am in our HQ today - there was a bomb scare yesterday so hoping it’s calmer today. Dress is from a Scandinavian designer with a name too challenging to remember, lol. Boots are Tory Birch.

@toucaninjapan not normal to be moved around departments at all in the UK, that sounds v stressful. Ahough I have worked in a couple of places where the odd person had been sat doing the same role for 30+ years. They were generally the ones who were the most negative about any kind of change, hostile to new processes (particularly anything that was designed to increase efficiency), so on balance could have done with a move or two, although the Japanese way sounds rather brutal!

@toucaninjapan - I love both your dress and your dungarees (especially your dungarees). In my company, I stay doing the same job but I expect my portfolio to change every 4 to 6 years. Which always involves a steep learning curve until I’m familiar with the technology.

It is really cold here today. We are not putting the heating on yet as heating oil is so expensive. I'm working from home today so will have to dig out some blankets to huddle under.

okay so today I am wearing covid! Shit. DD still negative though all the symptoms and GP cannot treat her until she’s positive on a test though he says he’s 100% sure she has it. I’m waiting to report my test so we can go to hospital together as I’m also CEV as I had cancer. I feel rough but not dead yet

@Puddinandpie fellow endo and adenomyosis sufferer. Although in theory i am not as I've just had a hysterectomy. Are your flushes from meds or the natural menopause? I have found I need to wear more natural fabrics and layers!

Hi everyone, back after a very long spell away though I have been checking in and enjoying all the outfits. I find this time of year so difficult to dress for, too cold for summer things and not cold enough for winter, I thought coming back on here might help and give me some inspo by seeing what everyone else is wearing.
Off work today so have on my new Boden jeans and striped top - this takes me back to early days of being a Mum - I wore bretons so often I swore I'd never wear one again but here we are! Shoes from Dune.

@OublietteBravo I suspect you work in IT, but I might be mistaken. 
Re dungarees, you were actually the one who inspired me to buy them. I used to hate dungarees, but when I was lurking here I liked the way you wore them, so I had to give them a try.

Afternoon everyone thanks so much for all your decor love for my home much appreciated me and dh moved in about 5 years ago and it was to put it blunt an absolute dive I literally cried while peeling woodchip, while the walls were crumbling and the cracks aappeared and the mouse poo was spotted in its droves under the carpets, oh not to mention actual human sick under the carpet also🤢😵 it was all so well hidden when we bought it, but slowly, slowly we both muddled through and stripped the walls and fixed the cracks and crumbles and got rid of the mice and grossy flooring and sanded and bled and sweated and layed tiles and wallpapered every bloody room (absolute nightmare the ceilings are 11ft high thank god dh likes heights and is 6ft3🙈)restored it back to its best of what we could original self!

Anyway @toucaninjapan thanks so much for your lovely compliments, I do hope you get work sorted soon its dreadful when there someone making life awkward it just makes everything feel so much worse, but rest assured karma is always waiting in the wings! You do you and be your lovely self all good things will come, by the way your dress is gorgeous and the dungarees are soooo cute 🙂

@Softpebbles I'm not sure why the hot flushes, but it happens all the time,as at the moment I am literally under the shittest doctor going it feels likehe couldnt understand why menefamic acid or tramadol didnt work, last app he told me I have no idea where my ovaries are and that I have no idea(I've had 4 children) he's put me on the pill, which has literally made it worse, I've been feeling like someone has taken a chainsaw to my ovaries and back permanently for the last month or so (but that was a usual recurrence of the pill anyway, just all the time now)and the keep still nauseating pain is still there, the burning crippling feel sick pain all still there! He shouted at me in my appointment last time and my dh had to tell him to pipe down! I've had scans and others have said it all points to endometriosis, I know its endo and even my gp said as much but the doctor at the hospital is being lazy and can't be bothered so I'm now having to go over his head and wait for another app with someone new! In reality you still have endo as it never goes, but I hope you are feeling much better now though, it gives me a glimmer of hope that I will get there in the end and hopefully feel a little normal!
@Sooverthemill yes I'm in london it's a 3 storey terrace 1864 gothic victorian it's got gargoyles and crosses on the peaks of the house and victorian men and ladies faces fibrous moulds allover the front of the house with monsters and fruit on the arch of the porch I'll have to get some pics! I'm sending you and yours healing vibes covid is to put it blunt shit!

@toucaninjapan thank you, love your outfits too. I don't work in a business environment so can't comment but I find Japanese culture so fascinating - my husband and I went to Japan for our honeymoon, I'll never forgot some of the things I saw on the metro!

In a Ganni dress - a designer I love more with each passing season. Boots came from John Lewis I think, about a million years ago. My new rescue dog comes next week - so excited.

I’ve been inspired by @Sickoffamilydrama to try tonal dressing. So may I present dark green culottes (admittedly you can’t really distinguish the colour in the photo) + bargain merino wool jumper in bright green (£14 in the sale)?
