It’s supposed to get to 19C today, but I’m currently wondering if I should’ve worn a jumper.

Working from home all week after a week away so pretty casual (and no one can see that I'm in jeans!)

I wasn’t well yesterday which inevitably meant we were all in a mad rush this morning because I hadn’t done any start-of-the-week prep. So I ended with less than 15 minutes to get me and 2 kids dressed and out the door… I’m actually spending the day getting ready for my boy’s 2nd birthday “party” this afternoon so easy, comfy clothes were a good choice!

it’s cooler again today here so I think I’m bidding a fond farewell to my Dune sandals. They won’t make it to next summer but I think I calculated they’ve worked out at less than £1 per wear so I’m happy!

Jeans: Diesel (these are actually the same style as the blue I wore a couple of days ago but are much skinnier)
Sandals: Dune (final outing!)

I have lurked on these threads for absolutely ages, and would love to join in? I tend to wear a lot of black so probably won't post too often. I'm a big fan of a second hand bargain and discovered Vinted after someone mentioned it on these threads so thank you to whoever that was!

This was yesterday, first day back on campus for my MA.
Jacket - Miss Selfridge via Vinted
Dress - Shein via eBay. It's a ribbed velvet one. Really nice sleeves and perfect for chilly autumn days.
Leggings - generic supermarket ones
Boots - ASOS bargain in the sale, love these boots so much. I'm a size 3 and all the small sizes tend to be left at the end of the season so they were reduced down from £50 to £15 last year!

Going out into town for a coffee with a neighbour who went to Italy the day before the queen died and came back on the day of the funeral. She feels like she missed out! I’d prefer Italy anytime

@Sooverthemill thanks! My MA is Critical and Creative Writing. I've just finished a combined literature and linguistics degree so thought I'd do something a bit less scientific this year! I think Im not a million miles from you, a bit further inland towards Bungay (I'm sure I remember you mentioning Southwold?)

@ShadowsShadowsShadows yes we are Southwold. DD lives just outside Bungay in a village called Ditchingham ( I think that’s right I’ve actually never been because of DD). Are you studying at UEA? A friends daughter did their MA creative writing and now she’s several times published! I always wanted to do a creative writing MA but got funded for a worn related one so that won out. DM me!

Wearing a couple of new autumn purchases today - cargo trousers (so comfy and I think will make a nice change from jeans, I may need more colours!), and finally decided on some black Adidas gazelles for a pair of new trainers.

@Sooverthemill ah I know Ditchingham well, when we kept goats we often bought yearlings from a breeder in Ditchingham. We are actually a lot closer to Halesworth than Bungay, but in the middle of nowhere. It's lovely and quiet but not ideal in the depths of winter. I'm at UOS in Ipswich. It's on the train line so closer, UEA would have been a 2 hour train commute which ruled it out.

Ah! If you know Halesworth then do you know the black dog deli there? DS is part of that he has a bakery (and a deli and a pizzeria ) and a wholesale production business based on the industrial estate. Our surname is part of the bakery name. I'd love goats, we always wanted them at our old lace we had room but to enough time and now we aren't allowed non domestic animals...

Well if you're in Southwold you'll probably know Jakery Bakery on the high st? That's owned by one DS's school friends family. Fab gluten free stuff which is handy as DH is celiac!

Ah that's a shame. We had goats and sheep this time last year but are down to just ducks hens and dogs now. The plus side to that is that I'm actually getting to wear some nice clothes worthy of posting on here rather than just endless overalls and water proofs covered in hay and goat poo! 😁
