@Greyhairwarmheart thoroughly recommend the cargo trousers, I can tell that I'll get a lot of wear out of mine. Comfy enough for a lounging at home day but also good for pub/shopping etc. V pretty jumper @PalacePaper !

My DiL has recently converted - I wonder if she'll be up to her elbows in the kitchen today? DS has no intention of converting alongside her but does appreciate the amazing food!

Ah I'm 5'1 so many dresses don't work on me. DD is converting and as she is bedbound I get all the cooking! We are making a vegan feast. Hoping DH won't be too scathing ( as it's his family who abandoned the Jewish faith)

Damp and grey here too. I debated going full on hot pink today, but I’ll leave that for another time.

This is exciting! The first day of proper autumn dressing, featuring a wool jumper and boots.

Jumper and boots: Zara
Skirt: Mango (v versatile, it's thin material so I've been wearing all summer, but with tights and boots I think the colours work for autumn and winter as well).

Couple of outfits for me. I tried the striped top tucked in and out and but I always gravitate to the most comfortable! I seem to have put weight on since I got the black jacket- feeling tight in the arms :(

Nice colours @Cardigansalltheway & @Sooverthemill we suspect some of our linage is Jewish (they had a typically Jewish surnames) we also have a certain Mediterranean look to us, what's interesting is if they were Jewish when did that change and why? Must go look through ancestry myself as only heard this second hand from other family doing research.

@Sickoffamilydrama for us it was dead obvious that DH and family were Ashkenazi Jewish heritage. And a dna test after FIL dies proves he had a genetic mutation most often found in that ethnicity. DD did a dna test out of curiosity and along with finding stuff after another relative died we uncovered it. In our case the original Russian assimilated in 1896 though listed on British Jewry register not long after. Also on Ellis island register. His sisters married rabbis which kind of gave the game away but he had no contact with them after marriage. I think he wanted to get ahead in society and he did. He was a very successful man. Also had a scone bigamous marriage , brought everyone up catholic. But DHs family long dropped that too . DD wanted to find out what it all would have Ben like. She’s also learning Yiddish and Hebrew.

Today I'm also wearing 'new' trousers I bought from jigsaw (sale) eaeir this year, a Celtic sweater and my new loafers

It’s my birthday today. I’m 47 and still wearing dungarees! I got my hair cut yesterday (not that it’s obvious from my photo), and it feels much more manageable. I don’t know why I’m consistently bad at getting round to having it cut.

A day out today - I'm off to visit DD in her uni city for lunch and maybe a cocktail or two. I absolutely must resist doing any shopping although who knows whether that resolve will last!

Hi all! I fell off this thread then locked out my account so back with a slightly different name.

I’ve been working hard over the summer to lose some weight and I’m now feeling a lot happier at my current size 10.

Need to sort myself out when it comes to clothes. Had a sort out & sent some scruffy stuff for recycling & swapped summer for autumn stuff. But I have too many clothes and can’t see the wood for the trees so I need to downsize.

Fashion goals are:

• no more shopping! I love a charity bargain and have grabbed some great things for bargain prices, but this has led to a wardrobe overflowing with stuff that’s not well thought out, doesn’t go with other stuff etc which makes getting dressed hard, especially with limited time in a morning & a little one to get ready
• Wear each item I own, if I don’t love it sell / donate it
• make an effort each day

Forgot to add todays outfit is M&S relaxed skinny jeans, &Other Stories top & Paul Green High tops. All secondhand

I have been lurking for a while and would like to join in if that's OK! I'm not overly happy with my weight at the minute but have had a wardrobe overhaul and am trying to just be happy with me for the meanwhile that I am losing weight, very slowly I might hasten to say though (which is just bloody annoying) anyways I have done an enormous autumn shop of clothes and kinda bought everything I've seen which I like (I know!! now I just have to figure out exactly what goes with what🙈 I'm not a capsule wardrobe kinda gal)
Enough babbling, today I am head to toe in shein!

welcome back @KiteflyingKoala you look great. I agree with your wardrobe goals. I find overwhelmed with the amount of stuff l have - I’ve not had access to everything due to moving and then my Op buy I quite like it. @happytobemrsg has a good coordinated wardrobe.

bad picture but m and s khaki wide leg trousers/joggers (new), Black lipsy top and an old coat I had to Chuck on as it started to rain and it was the only one I had! Jeans are still a bit uncomfortable. Platform cons.
