Summer trousers

I'm looking for some really light weight/cool summer trousers, possibly in both black and white or maybe grey and ideally cropped. Boden Richmonds are too work-ish. M&S hasn't got anything anywhere near okay - I tried their chinos on and they felt like they were made of plastic, even though described as cotton rich. Need to be cotton not linen and definitely not viscose or polyester. I want them for when it's too hot for jeans.

Thanks for these. Hush ones are not cotton. No to capri - not actually sure quite what I want - something in between culottes and trousers, I think! :)

The M&S ones are viscose and patterned. I just want plain black or plain white. I don't think they exist!

Whistles have some Nice looking black ones, but they're linen and I find linen too itchy, as well as looking like a dog's dinner within seconds.

I have three pairs of these from Next. They are really lightweight and have a slight stretch, and are 98% cotton. I love them!

I have a lovely pair of black light trousers but got them in Lidl years ago and have never seen them again! Don't know what I'll do when they wear out.
