Summer trousers

I'm looking for some really light weight/cool summer trousers, possibly in both black and white or maybe grey and ideally cropped. Boden Richmonds are too work-ish. M&S hasn't got anything anywhere near okay - I tried their chinos on and they felt like they were made of plastic, even though described as cotton rich. Need to be cotton not linen and definitely not viscose or polyester. I want them for when it's too hot for jeans.

Please help!

The Thought ones are ponte, which is thick jersey, I think, so not at all cool.

I don't like the Uniqlo ones at all, sorry.

the La reroute ones are quite nice but I totally cba with ordering online from somewhere I don't know sizing/quality of.

Sick and tired of trying to find clothes that don't exist!

I've got the M&S black cotton cargo trousers, but I don't like them much. They just don't look right on me.

I think I know what you mean. I have some cotton jersey culottes from next that I bought last couple of years but they don't seem to stock them this year. Not sure if they are too worky in navy or black anyway. And culotte too wide. I wore them when I did jury duty in hot weather.

Nearest I can see are Seasalt Creekside culottes but hard to tell if they are lightweight and only in one colour as far as I can see.

The next ones were very light, like a soft cotton t shirt.

As pp said I think cotton traders seem to be the best bet of not much. I just looked on Amazon because I think I got some there but all I could find was viscose.

On the Poetry site, if you just search cotton trousers a bunch of different styles will come up - you then might have to pick through them re whether they're pull on or not, as they don't all come up with both filters. There's a few that might do the job though

@PressPauseontheMenopause Yours are gorgeous, but the black ones are needlecord, so I think will be too thick. I'm also too short and fat for such beauties, sadly.

Uniqlo do cotton/linen mix ones so don't have the linen crumple issue. They also have a waistband.

The Nomad ones aren't pull on and they have them in white too!

Yours have some lovely culottes and crops.

How about these, I have them in the grey/green, they are straight leg and loose and very lightweight.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie have you looked at poetry and wrap London? Also olive clothing? You could search in trouva too I’ve found great stuff that way. My best summer trousers are lolly’s laundry via tae boutique
