Summer trousers

I'm looking for some really light weight/cool summer trousers, possibly in both black and white or maybe grey and ideally cropped. Boden Richmonds are too work-ish. M&S hasn't got anything anywhere near okay - I tried their chinos on and they felt like they were made of plastic, even though described as cotton rich. Need to be cotton not linen and definitely not viscose or polyester. I want them for when it's too hot for jeans.

Maybe you could find a local dressmaker? Might not be too expensive if you get a few pairs made to the same pattern. At least they would fit!

Don't know if they're your thing but Google magic trousers and the joggers that everyone under the sun are selling. I have some of both and joggers are cotton. The magic ones I'm surprised are very cool given the material.

I bought from Amazon, eBay and niche.

I like monki cropped organic cotton trousers and have them in black from last year. They are pull on though (although the elastic is generous)

I tried 17 pairs of trousers on today and hated all of them.

Conclusions:
I hate linen
I hate M&S
I hate viscose
I hate pull on
I hate chinos
I hate capri trousers
I hate white trousers
I look a twat in wide legged trousers, linen trousers, pull on trousers, chinos and capri trousers
I will never find any trousers

Anything here - mostly German makes.

I would say try magic trousers but they're not cotton! What they are are super flattering even in white and stone, lots of colours, side pockets, pull on, amazingly comfortable, thin enough for summer, crease resistant, great shape, roll up, tick under or wear long..... honestly, I tell so many people to buy them and now there's loads of us, with lots of pairs in all the colours, it's like a movement! They also come in 2 sizes, so fit up to an 18 I think, I'm a 14/16 but they make me look like a 12, no easy feat.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie I’ve just ordered a pair from M&S which I’m pretty sure are very similar to some I bought a few years ago & may have been recommended by you back then! They are full length but can be rolled up. You just have to get over that they are Per Una

Nice trousers @Decorhate but they are only available in navy size 10! All other colours & sizes OOS.

I tried the Per Una ones on but they're really thick.

The Mint Velvet ones are all the wrong colours and not many in stock either.

The Esperit ones are too like chinos, and not available in black.

I look horrible in chinos.

It's amazing though isn't it because op isn't asking for anything out of the ordinary. But if it's been decided that these aren't available in 2022 that's it. So many different outlets. But pretty much all the same

Sorry but I hate the chinos and the capri trousers.

I've got some very similar to the Oasis ones. I like them but they're more formal/worky/stiff than I'm after now.
