I actually think she's prettier than that, I think it's probably an attempt to look more edgy, perhaps. I didn't like the podcast cover picture, but I thought she looked nice seated on the sofa.

I agree with you about her hair Eau. I think it's much nicer down than scraped back.

I think the photos and styling is an attempt to look straightforward, unfussy, clearcut and simple. I think I’ve seen her look better, a softer look suits her more, she looks a bit hard edged rather than girl next door to me. There are lots of comparisons with the Diana black polo neck photos too.

With the scraped back hair, perhaps she's been taking notes from CPV?

Loved the white trouser suit on MM. The black halter dress reminds me a bit too much of Diana.

I read the article (oh dear) but the styling actually reminded me of the Duchess of Windsor, strangely.
I dont know if that was the effect they were aiming for (Meghan of Montecito?).

Rania's released a new 52nd birthday portrait with her children. Naturally she looks nowhere near old enough to have kids who are engaged! There's still some interesting body language going on with her future DiL...

It’s the two fiancés that are flanking her, isn’t it? That’s a touch I really like if so - the body language may be a bit stilted, but the message that they are very much being welcomed to the family is clear.

Also our eternal birthday girl has been out and about, and taking the scissors to more of her evening gowns - this was originally a floor length lace Colette Dinnigan gown that she wore to Princess Madeleine’s wedding.

I was never hugely fond of the coral lace gown, and thought the top cape veered into really grandmotherly territory, so I think this is an improvement, but it’s still not my favourite.

The British royals have gone to ground (or perhaps Balmoral) for the summer but the Scandi ones have been out and about a lot. I really like this skirt on EBGM, and CPV's love affair with floral midis continues!
