Thank you for the new thread. I love the yellow dress and earrings although, as someone said earlier, it looked better in the Caribbean and I can't put my finger on why that would be.

My money is on a white dress tomorrow for the men's final.

I'm just dropping in to condemn Kate's white shoes! I'm afraid I can't forgive and forget when it comes to white stilettos. I also wish she'd cut a good few inches off her hair.

Generally underwhelming fashion at the Monaco Rose Ball imo.

Say what you like about the white stilettos, which I love, you have to admire the way she never sinks into the grass in heels.

That, right here, is a major talent.

I really like Kate's yellow dress today, perfect for a fun summer event, and extra points for a rewear (first seen in Jamaica). I'm not keen on the white stilettos, but espadrilles would have been worse!

I’ve been following these threads for a while but not commented until now.

I wonder if the lack of tiaras is a reflection of current circumstances so none of the royal families want to be accused of being insensitive during the current cost of living crisis?

Personally not a fan of DOC’s look today. I’m finding her looks recently all a bit prim and too proper.

I think you may have a point @Bunny2021 and I can see their point to a degree. When so many people are struggling with inflation it would be a bit insensitive to flaunt their wealth.

The flip side is though that they are Royal. They do need to be seen, in all their finery IMO

There's also been a lack of formal evening 'do's' to wear their best diamonds.

Are Kate's earrings citrines? Not mad on the tone of the yellow but she seems to carry it off.

I think she looks fabulous and utterly glam. Not keen on the shoes, but the rest of her, ankle up, is stunning!

I'm not sure the royals ever cared about whether or not to flaunt their wealth before! I think lack of tiaras is down to lack of tiara occasions. Even pre-covid how often did we see Kate or Sophie in a tiara? Maybe twice a year at the diplomatic reception and a state dinner? And I don't think there will be any big royal weddings for a while so there goes another tiara opportunity!

I love Kate's look today. I think that shade of yellow is so happy and sunshiny, I'm always jealous of anybody who can pull it off (I most definitely can not!)

I saw the pictures of the Phillips wedding and thought they were lovely - Mark with his daughter Stephanie, but Anne was there, also Autumn Kelly, so two divorces but seemingly a happy family celebration. I thought that was so nice.

Another wedding. Princess Charlotte de Bourbon Parma gets married in Normandy. She's wearing her mother's meander tiara, and I think looks very elegant.

For a moment I thought the groom was Edo! He's the spitting image of him.

Love the tiara. I'm lukewarm about puffed sleeves but they are very on-trend!
