@Serenster Yes it was quite a small, private wedding. Mary was chief Bridesmaid/Maid of Honour (not sure what the direct translation would be - the Danish term is Bridesmaid of Honour) and Fred was Best Man. I think they were present at both wedding ceremonies - firstly the official wedding with I think about 30 guests, and then the church wedding the next day with something like 80 guests, so that’s why Mary wore two outfits.
She’s now titled Carina, princess of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, and will be called Princess Carina in daily life.
@StartupRepair yes I read a comment by Carina in a recent interview saying it’s incredibly important to her now, on an emotional level, to finally make the castle their home together and put their personal touch on it with decor and furnishings because of course they’ve never been allowed to do anything much to it as they had to live as tenants of sort until the inheritance palaver was sorted out. I imagine they’re both very relieved that they can finally make concrete plans in life!
@paradyning yes I wondered what the hell that was and as @LadyEloise1 says my conclusion was it must be a hat pin*...but what a very clumsy decision to put it there! The placement completely ruined the hat embellishment design and just looked very odd indeed.
*I expect that somewhere on the internet there are people developing complex theories about how it was an energy beacon to keep the animatronic queen going, or maybe some kind of communication device for aliens/reptiles/other such tosh.
@LadyEloise1 I loved his antics too! He’s four, he’s not going to be capable of behaving in the same way as the older children. He’s had a very busy few days with lots of new experiences and was probably quite hyped up and exhausted. I don’t mind a spirited child, as long as they’re not allowed to become utter brats. I thought Mike Tindall doing the ‘I’m watching you’ was hilarious and Kate looked like she appreciated the help from everyone.
