Waving to the wonderful Royal Style clan!
Great Jubilee, let's hope there's more to come!.

I cam on to comment about Kate's gorgeous dress. Granted that she would even look great in a bin bag but she is a designer's dream out of a family of odd shapes who cannot be much fun to dress!

Brilliant.
He's quite the character!

Louis cracks me up he's like two of my grandsons. He's done with it all. He's not short of sleep unlike everyone else in the family

😂😂

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 05/06/2022 18:15

Have you read some of the comments under that tweet of Louis? Some people seem to have no idea how spirited 4 year olds can get and also don't seem to understand how difficult it would be to march him straight home when on public display(which would have been my solution back in the day). Some people commenting on Twitter also need to lighten up. I empathise with Kate because my DS could have his moments at that age. He's in his teens now and can definitely behave well these days when on public display...

RomainingCalm · 05/06/2022 18:27

There are some horrible comments on SM.

Parenting 3x young children is really hard.

Parenting 3x young children in public with the world's media watching and every moment photographed or videoed is really, really, really hard.

I take my hat off to Kate and William - they make it look so easy. I am sure that they are all shattered and ready to get home for PJs, some television and an early night.

There are however some fab pictures of Louis sitting on Grandpa Wales' lap and it felt like a good moment to dust off this picture which is one of my favourites.

A lot is made of the relationship that the Cambridges have with the Middleton grandparents but for me the last few days have really brought out how close William and Kate are to Charles and Camilla.

I like what I can see of Beatrice and Eugenie's dresses here. Beatrice got the v-neck memo!

That is a lovely picture, @RomainingCalm !
It was so nice to see what a lovely family they are, so many happy faces and loving embraces. Good points.
My children never had grandparents, which is a shame, because it can be such a lovely thing.

I like that colour on Eugenie. Is that little boy Beatrice's stepson?.

OP posts:
KillingMeDeftly · 05/06/2022 18:36

@Maireas yes, I think it must be. Presumably the baby was too young to bring.

Gooseysgirl · 05/06/2022 18:37

Yes that's Wolfie! I loved Kate's dress today - great shape, perfect colour on her, much prefer this to yesterday's bright red coat which was a big miss for me.

KillingMeDeftly · 05/06/2022 18:41

I prefer the darker red of her dress today to the bright tomato coat from yesterday. That shade can be a bit overwhelming.

Gooseysgirl · 05/06/2022 18:44

Louis is a ticket... Kate did very well not to lose her shit with him 🤣 crap situation for her to be in, the whole world watching!I did wonder if he would make it to the balcony, but he did in the end!

GrouchyKiwi · 05/06/2022 18:50

Eug and Bea both look lovely in that photo. Wolfie is adorable!

My children have pulled all of those stunts Louis did to Kate in that wee clip (my youngest is 6 so still does stuff like that when she's had enough). I bet most of those negative comments under the tweet were from people who don't have children. Everyone's a perfect parent when they're not one.

Catherine at a street party this morning.

How long is the attention span of a 4 year old? I reckon Louis behaved better than I would have attending all if these events every day.

DisforDarkChocolate · 05/06/2022 19:11

I'm not even going to look at the social media about Louis, it will be too depressing.

I loved today's event but it was a big ask for a four year old.

AmberLynn1536 · 05/06/2022 19:11

How utterly fabulous did Kate look at the concert last night and at today’s pageant!, the hair, makeup and jewellery looked really contemporary. I love this picture of her I think I will have to wheel it out every time someone says she looks old and tired which you often see on here (not the RS&B threads).

Yay. Lovely dresses, love that cobalt blue. Although I’m not sure about the studded loafer shoes Bea wore with it?

NiqueNique · 05/06/2022 19:32

Kate looks fantastic.

She looks older and more tired sometimes because a) she is older than she was, and that’s okay, and b) she has 3 children!

I really dislike the casual ageism inherent in fashion/beauty. It’s misogyny plain and simple. It’s really perfectly fine to be getting older, and conversely to look older as well. Women do not lose their worth as they age (unless one only judges women on their sexual worth but you know, there are more important merits than that!).

NiqueNique · 05/06/2022 19:36

Also, I am very proud that my thread title was used!! <preens> (we’ll just gloss over the fact that it was the only suggestion 😆😆)

Thanks for the new thread @Maireas and cheers to all; Happy Jubilee!! 🥂

Maireas · 05/06/2022 19:44

Did you notice when they were on the balcony, that George is as tall as HM?

Eaumyword · 05/06/2022 20:08

Lovely pic of Charles&Louis 💕
I also like that berry colour on Eug, very flattering.
Kate looked amazing last night, all swishy and glamorous.

Chewbecca · 05/06/2022 20:23

Really loved Kate’s insta reel pink gingham Brora blouse. Loved the colour & shape and fit. Wondering what I would look like in a size 18 version, covered in icing sugar and mess.

That’s not what I’m alluding to, what is said on other threads about Kate is she looks older than her actual years, not that she looks older than she used to, it’s trotted out quite regularly. I do wholeheartedly agree with your second paragraph though.

Thank you for the new thread
@Maireas.
What a fabulous weekend of Royal Fashion and fun.
Nobody does pageantry like the British. 💐
It was just spectacular. Magical.
Congratulations to the people involved.
I loved Paddington and the Queen. Just sooo cute. As was Louis. Smile
