Which engagement ring?

Hey lovely MN ladies,

My lovely BIL has narrowed down 2 engagement ring choices for his gf.
She wants white gold/halo or pave or both. He's shown me the styles she likes and he's on the right tracks!
Which one in your opinion do you prefer? (there is a video of each ring under the pic if that helps).

ps ignore the cut/clarity as this will be changed it's just about the style.

thank you so much x

Second.

And I like that they are all conflict free. Not sure about the mining situation though, that's not clear.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 30/05/2022 14:44

Eek, I don't like either tbh, I think the first one is slightly better. Don't listen to me though, what will SHE like? Won't she like to choose her own?

ZoeCM · 30/05/2022 14:45

Definitely the first one! Very pretty. There's nothing wrong with the second one, I just prefer the shape of the first.

ForestFae · 30/05/2022 14:46

Second.

surreymum89 · 30/05/2022 14:46

Second

FrazzleDazz · 30/05/2022 14:46

I love the second one, the pear cut is lovely! But as PP said it's what she will like x

Derrymum123 · 30/05/2022 14:47

First one.

SneezesHaveStarted · 30/05/2022 14:47

I prefer the first one definitely, but that’s mostly because I don’t like “pointy” shaped diamonds (clearly have no clue about jewellery 😂)

Tryhard40 · 30/05/2022 14:48

I would prefer the second one but this one is much classier I think:

Second

turkeyboots · 30/05/2022 14:49

Neither.

I second asking what bride to be likes. Propose with a haribo jelly ring or a toy ring. I never wear my engagement ring as while DH put loads of thought and love and money into it, it's not me.

indoorplantqueen · 30/05/2022 14:50

Second by a mile

Wammawink · 30/05/2022 14:50

The first one

Assistanttotheregionalmanager · 30/05/2022 14:51

That store is great! Had amazing ones from there before. I like the second.

Tiffanysmum · 30/05/2022 14:53

if you don't like either rings why comment?
I don't think a haribo ring would go down well. As stated he knows her style and these are the two to choose from. God some people are miserable!

Thank you everyone with positive/constructive feedback.

Both to blingy for me, but if it's what she likes, the second is nicer.

Tiffanysmum · 30/05/2022 14:53

@Assistanttotheregionalmanager fabulous, thank you!🙂

Zpoa · 30/05/2022 14:54

Prefer the second one.

Giveitall · 30/05/2022 14:54

Why is he not taking her to a jeweller to choose her own? It’s an exciting thing to do!
For example I thought I wanted a cluster but ended up with a three stone diamonds on platinum because it suited my hand better.
A substitute fun ring for the proposal & than, ta da, a visit to local jeweller.
Tell him that 2nd hand, vintage rings are VAT free , if there’s a decent vintage jeweller locally.

PraiseBee · 30/05/2022 14:55

Second

EspeciallyDistracted · 30/05/2022 14:56

Not that keen on either but definitely think the bride to be should be the one choosing. I prefer the one linked by @Tryhard40

ATadConfused · 30/05/2022 14:57

Neither, first if I had to choose.

I vote for cheap ring for proposal & her to choose. She will be the one wearing it !

ANUsernam · 30/05/2022 14:57

Second for me (though agree with pps that it needs to be which you/he thinks she'd prefer rather than which we like)

Tiffanysmum · 30/05/2022 14:57

@Giveitall he has!
Like i said he knows her style but he is choosing.
Wow 😮why is there so much negativity or reading way too much into choosing a ring😅
