Oh yes we’re all almost at the end...what a perfect jubilee thread, it’s lasted almost all the way! Something to do with Her Majesty perhaps? Seventy years of fabulous frocks and rocks?

Wasn’t the Paddington Bear sketch just lovely, btw? I’m not even British and don’t have any nostalgia around the story but it really got to me. The Queen did brilliantly.

I was going to say something tennis-themed but Wimbledon is end of June so perhaps the thread after next. I like @NiqueNique's suggestion of 70 years of frocks and rocks.

And I notice that despite this thread's title, there was nary a tiara to be seen for the Jubilee!

The Paddington Bear sketch was so sweet! So that's what she has in her handbag!
Great suggestion, Nnique!

@Maireas and @NiqueNique Sophie's dress is Zara. There's a great Instagram account called Royal Fashion Police that IDs everything!!

Paddington sketch was lovely & I think in another life HMQ would have been an actor or comedian.
Though she's probably had to do her fair share of acting over the years with some of the odious characters she's had to meet/entertain over the years like Trump etc.

@NiqueNique's suggestion for the new thread title is fab

Excellent shout Chewbacca. Should a backup plan prove necessary I have a lesbian DD of the appropriate age and definitely fancy being a guest of honour and a big wedding I haven't had to organise (I'm assuming that if your DD marries the sixteenth in line to the throne you're excused the heavy lifting of wedding planning, and can invite as many tiara-fanciers as you like).

Interesting you say that @ItsaTIARA because I seem to read gossip remember
the Sophie Winklemans had no end of strife with the wedding planning (apparently) because the royal end were expecting the parents of the bride to foot the bill so to speak. It may explain why they went to Hello! route

Thank you, @hopeishere !
I did read that Sophie Winkleman had a bit of strife, but it was possibly from Princess Michael of Kent... not unpleasant, definitely trying to be helpful, but a bit much.

Who would've thought PMoK would be an interfering mother in law??🤣

Blimey in that case I shall warn DD off any teenage royals. The Winkleman parents and indeed Big Suze herself seem to be comfortably off but by no means the sort of wealthy that can absorb a full on royal wedding without feeling the pain - I'm not surprised there were issues.

Strange that Harry and Meghan aren't at the pageant today, given that even non-working royals like Peter and Zara are there with their families.

Earning their keep for Netflix perhaps.
