Yes dolphins it must be so hard .And I agree ,maybe her own strong views come into play .I'm sure plenty of us didn't make the most sartorial of choices at 18 .

LadyEloise1 · 04/06/2022 09:30

@peridito We'll agree to differ on Louise's choice for the Jubilee Service.
I thought she looked lovely yesterday.
I don't like ankle straps though as I think they usually thicken the look of the ankle. But the shoes were such a pale shade it didn't matter.

Straight after St Paul's, Anne went up to Edinburgh. She admired the penguins (who wouldn't?) and spoke to young Ukrainian refugees.
Nice red jacket and navy trousers - good colours!

Of course @LadyEloise1 ,it 's so subjective and also dependent on particular camera angles isn't it ?
And I'm hardly a fashion guru !!

gluenotsoup · 04/06/2022 10:10

Anne is smart there as usual. She doesn’t shy away from being busy does she??
She looked very comfortable in her role at Trooping of the Colour, and resplendent in the uniform, in fact I think she looked more at home than both Charles and Wills did.

maisiedaisy64 · 04/06/2022 10:28

Hello! I’ve been following this thread for ages, love the style and also the tidbits of history that crop up too!

Loved the outfits yesterday, especially Sophie Winkelman’s pink! I have to agree with @peridito though, Lady Louise was a miss for me…that style dress just always reminds me of a nightie!!

JustLyra · 04/06/2022 10:34

I wonder if all the high necklines have anything to do with the high and overhead cameras in St Paul’s?

Eaumyword · 04/06/2022 10:37

Hi @maisiedaisy64 I loved Sophie Winkleman's pink dress too!
What a lovely story about Princess Anne up at the zoo. Good for her, I just love her no nonsense energy and approach to the job. And my word, she looks amazing in trousers!

MotherofPearl · 04/06/2022 10:56

Very late to the jubilee fashion chat, though I've been catching up on all the pictures. Some lovely fashions. I see there was an article in the Guardian about all the saucer hats!

Lampzade · 04/06/2022 11:17

My take on the outfits

Meghan looked beautiful. I loved the gloves and hat combo. Very elegant . Makeup was gorgeous
However, the coat didn’t fit well at the waist.

Kate looked lovely . The lemon really suited her. Much better than those old fashioned coat dresses she used to wear. I would like to see her in something similar to the outfit Meghan wore

Zara Tindall looked lovely in the pink

However, my favourite outfit was Princess Beatrice’s outfit. I can’t believe that I am saying this as the York girls have always had questionable fashion taste. However, everything was right about Beatrice’s look. The make up,, the hat the shoes, the fit of the dress. She looked stunning.
Marriage and motherhood have been the making of her

KillingMeDeftly · 04/06/2022 11:18

Louise's dress was a bit 90s (1990s not 18!) so I think it was reasonably on trend. Or has the fashion for the 90s now moved on to the early 00s? Soon it'll go full circle and we'll be back in flapper dresses!!

KillingMeDeftly · 04/06/2022 11:20

@Lampzade I agree about the York sisters. They take risks and have fun with fashion and at least they're never dull. Has anyone forgotten Beatrice's hat from William's wedding?

Lampzade · 04/06/2022 11:24

JustLyra · 03/06/2022 12:24

Sarah Chatto always manages to hit it spot on with her outfits.

Her wedding dress was one of my favourite ‘celebrity’ wedding dresses

Maireas · 04/06/2022 12:13

Edward and Sophie getting a warm welcome in Bangor, Co Down, Sophie looking nice in a blue print dress.
William and Kate are going to Wales.

gluenotsoup · 04/06/2022 12:18

I’ll go and have a look for some pics from today.
Sarah Chatto did look beautiful at her wedding, her dress is a favourite on here I’ve noticed! I also like her engagement ring, and I liked the colour scheme at her wedding too, old English roses in pink and white with ivy. 😍

MotherofPearl · 04/06/2022 12:43

I'm an unashamed Sarah Chatto fashion devotee. I love her go-to look of a full skirt and neat, fitted cardi, and have several of these combos myself, though I don't look nearly as put together as she does. I think she looks great for 58.

KillingMeDeftly · 04/06/2022 12:50

Sarah's wedding dress is one of my all-time royal favourites.

KillingMeDeftly · 04/06/2022 12:54

George and Charlotte have joined their parents in Wales today. Kate in either red or orange.

Maireas · 04/06/2022 13:00

It looks orange, doesn't it? Maybe she borrowed Eugenie's dress from yesterday!

OP posts:
dolphinsarentcommon · 04/06/2022 13:07

It's very red on the BBC news... 🤷‍♀️

OublietteBravo · 04/06/2022 13:10

Sophie looks lovely today - it’s nice to see her with her hair down.

KillingMeDeftly · 04/06/2022 13:12

I think it's probably red then. After all, it's Wales and Kate loves her literal dressing!

Charlotte always seems very perky and happy to meet people doesn't she? George comes across as a solemn little boy but the crowds and intense scrutiny must be quite intimidating for kids.

KillingMeDeftly · 04/06/2022 13:17

HMQ is missing the Epsom Derby too so she must really be feeling unwell. Takes a lot to keep her away from the gee-gees!

AnnaKar · 04/06/2022 14:11

Maireas · 03/06/2022 20:30

Excellent back up plan, @ItsaTIARA ! ( Love your user name 😉)
Sounds like we've got some bases covered. Anyone got offspring for the Chatto lads? I reckon Sarah would be a good in-law.

My gay DS was at uni with one of the Chatto lads…I think I’ve the family connection right.

I did cross my fingers….😂

OublietteBravo · 04/06/2022 14:20

Princess Anne is wearing a great outfit for her visit to Epsom for the Derby.
