I think she looks nice and the colour is good on her. The cut of the dress really does emphasise how slim she is! Agree that contrasting accessories may have worked better but apparently the monochrome look is v in these days!

hopeishere · 04/05/2022 17:24

Agree contrasting accessories would have been far better.

Maireas · 04/05/2022 17:31

I agree - I'd wear orange shoes, but then I do like colour!

A lovely burnt orange would be fabulous.

AmberLynn1536 · 04/05/2022 17:45

I love her hair straight it looks much more sophisticated than the Disney Princess curls. I really wish she would pick a different shoe, she seems to pretty much wear exactly the same court shoe with every outfit just a different colour, and the design of them is so dull, they look cheap even though I’m sure they are not. Contrasting shoes and bag would have looked so much more modern, I agree orange would have looked great.

Maireas · 04/05/2022 17:49

Somewhere inbetween Disney curls and flat with a centre parting, maybe?
I agree that her shoe choices are a bit limited. Always the narrow heeled court shoes (with rare exceptions), just dull

Love the dress, hate the accessories

Gooseysgirl · 04/05/2022 18:55

Love this colour on KM, not hugely keen in the dress - makes her look very thin. I love her hair straight - I am delighted she seems to have ditched the bouncy blow dry recently! Earrings fab.. I want them!!

MotherofPearl · 04/05/2022 19:02

Great dress, and a refreshing change from the interminable long sleeved floral dresses (or coat dresses). I agree that dark tan accessories (or even bronze?) would have looked far nicer. I'm also not a fan of the ironed hair. Maireas, I think you and I both like her hair mid-length/shoulder-length, chestnut tones, with waves and body but not princess curls.

AmberLynn1536 · 04/05/2022 19:10

I have been looking at Kate’s hair over the years she has really has ringed the changes, unlike her shoes! This style looks a good compromise between straight and Disney, she really does have the most beautiful hair.

This is funny - Leti's in stitches as she presents an award to a woman wearing the same dress! (Mango, £59.99)😄

Agreed, @MotherofPearl ! We like Kate's Wimbledon hair 😊

It's a superb dress. Grin

gluenotsoup · 04/05/2022 20:18

I like the colour, neutral with the hair sns on the fence that both monochrome and a contrasting tan ish would look equally good.

Do I have to relinquish my tiaras due to rubishness!

Maireas · 04/05/2022 20:25

It's such a funny scene, they're both laughing and it's such a distinctive dress!

OP posts:
MotherofPearl · 04/05/2022 20:36

I like seeing Leti so jolly and relaxed! Sometimes she can seem a little frosty, though I fully appreciate that photos and media coverage are no indication of what someone might really be like.

BornBlonde · 04/05/2022 20:36

I think Leti would be fun to go for a wine with

KillingMeDeftly · 04/05/2022 20:48

Maybe, but I think Maxima would be the most fun. And Daisy too!

MotherofPearl · 04/05/2022 20:51

I think Cams would be a lot of fun.

Maireas · 04/05/2022 21:03

We'd have a great time, wouldn't we?! Us lot and Leti, Max, Daisy, Cams and Stephanie of Luxembourg...tea would be spilled.....

KillingMeDeftly · 04/05/2022 21:29

@Maireas as long as CPM didn't join at the last minute and insist on only talking about her big plans to celebrate, erm, herself. Again.

I expect CPM is already planning her next big birthday ........

I detest those tie things on sleeves - so many around at the moment , mind you I also dislike the button up ties on linen shirts to hold sleeves up. Love the colour of the green dress.
